Let´s limit it to max 5 games (for now) and dedicated games.. - With pictures!
State name of the game (doh!) - and why you want it...
I, myself is all ways looking - and there´s still dreams about the perfect setup...
1. Elevator Action - Because it´s a cool and addictive game!, and would be the 2nd Taito game in my Taito row :D
(http://www.arcade-museum.com/images/111/1115517779.jpg)
2.
Canyon Bomber - Because one game is never enough!, cool design, simple and addictive game play.
3. Star Wars Cockpit - Because i have space (!) and after trying it at EC11, it´s a must!!!!
4. Empire Strikes Back Cockpit - If you have 2, you can all ways fit the 3rd, and a row of SWC´s must be heaven, sight wise...
5. Donkey Kong - Red cab (of course) because it´s epic, great looking, and DAMN hard!

5 is not fair, michael, but here you go
(1) BUDWEISER TAPPER (with color sideart): basically everything's just perfect about that game (design, artwork, music, gameplay, ...)

(3) YELLOW COMPUTER SPACE: simply the coolest looking arcade cabinet EVER
(http://www.invaded.fr/images/News/Ebay/Computer-space-Mars2009/Computer-space-02.jpg)

I'm mostly a "pin-head" - but there are 3 dedicated arcade games I'd love to get my greasy little hands on :)
1) Track & Field - My dad was never much of a computer-gamer, but this one game we could always agree on. I have a lot of memories of us playing it in arcades during summer vacations.
2) Bank Panic - This is the first game I recall being anywhere near good at. I still love the game play and design.
3) Star Wars / Empire - Those machines gobbled up a ton of my coins as a kid in the arcades, later I got the games for my C64, then it just gobbled up a ton of my time :)
-
1) Gravitar
2) Burger Time
3) Robotron (even though I can play it on my Joust now)
4) A second Nintendo cab to have one vertical, one horizontal one
5) Mad Planets
6) Other vectors.....oops only allowed 5 :D
-
Please!!!!!!!
Take the time to add pictures of those beautiful cabs!!!!!! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
-
1 Pengo ;D Love love love this one. Used all my allowance on it every week when I was still a young lad ::)
2 Donkey Kong Of course! Does that need explaining?
3 Kungfu Master Such a cool game! Made me feel like I was really kicking those bad guys asses ;D
4 Ms Pacman nice game and I love the side-art
5 Kicker a.k.a. Shaolin's Road Didn't know there was a dedicated cab until I looked for it just now coz Muerto wanted pics
-
If there's one cabinet I want most, it's a SEGA Rally Championship twin.
A SEGA Rally Championship deluxe would also be nice.
(http://www.nakosgames.gr/prod-images/driving%20arcade/driving%20arcade/SEGA%20RALLY%20CHAMPIONSHIP%20-%20Arcade/Sega%20Rally%20Champonship%20Deluxe%20Arcade%20Machine.jpg)
There's just something about it that I love...
-
5) Mad Planets
infected by the south coast slam virus, andré?
-
I have only 3 on my wishlist atm., a Zacc Tron. :D

nice topic, and indeed, come on add pictures. That's half of the topic
(considering I had the money, space, gameroom everything, I would say, in random order)
Time Crisis II
(http://aznbadger.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/timecrisis2.jpg)
a great shoot em up game to do with a friend. It's addictive and full of action
(http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IXI5TjSiui4/TxjEiVbMsoI/AAAAAAAABG4/moCaYjdV0BY/s1600/TC2.jpg)
Popeye
(http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/8337/1349827-popeye_cabinet_super.jpg)
I like the cabinet and the art. Great cartoon, classic game which I used to play on Game&Watch
Simpsons Pinball
(http://www.pinballzarcade.com/wp-content/uploads/wpsc/product_images/simpsons_de_pinball.jpg)
As a Simpsons fan this one simply rocks. Nice art, and has that fresh early nineties Simpsons vibe over it
Street Fighter II Champion Edition
(http://www.joystixamusements.com/photos/SF2CHAMP.JPG)
I have good memories playing this cab, although I never found out what the original dedicated cab was. I was only focused on playing the game, not the cab :)
BurgerTime
(http://www.classicgaming.cc/classics/burgertime/i/burgertime_cabinet.jpg)
Great game to play and a nice cab to look at. I like the theme of flipping burgers too
-
Only 5?? ;D
Ikari Warriors: beautiful cabinet, love the Vietnam theme & original controls plus i have very found memories playing it on the NES
(http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u471/Gyruss99/IkariWarriors.jpg)
Double Dragon: Not much of a looker but still very high on my wanted list: Awesome music, game play (for a couple of times) and it's the perfect cab to play other Jamma pcb's.
Juno First: Great shooter with cool sound effects and graphics (the astronaut!). I almost owned one but decided to get a moon patrol instead.
Burgertime: Not much to say here, it's simply beautiful and very fun.
Tempest: I really need a vector game and this is one of the best: cool concept, nice controls and love the art...
-
Ah toooo damn hard to limit it to five cabs, but as I've landed two grails the past week (more on that once they arrive), it makes it a bit easier. ;D
1. Juno First
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v120/shertz/juno/DSC05530.jpg)
- probably my favourite game, and I love the cab as well.
2. Tempest cabaret:
- gotta have a vector game in here, and you can't go wrong with Tempest. This is so hip I'd want it in my livingroom.
3. Universal Mr. Do
(http://www.rotheblog.com/images/arcade/project/mrdo/mrdo-indy-may10-02.jpg)
- a party hit! Me and my father in law regularly plays this game.
4. Bosconian:
- would look great next to my Namco Rally-X.
5. Double Dragon:
- the ultimate two player JAMMA cab. Easy board switch from the front, cool art.
edit: hahah, Gyruss! Seems we have similar tastes! We posted three out of five similar games at the same time. ;D
-

I really want a Galaxy Force upright (not even sure they really existed), and a Buggy Boy upright.

A white computer space, from the movie Soylent Green. The chicks who play them in the movie may be included, no problem with that. Edit: just stick with the machine. The chicks are probably 70 right now.... :?

Operation wolf/ operation thunderbolt

There are many others, obviously (Popeye, Karate champ, Track & Field, Daitona USA) but those listed are those i have most appreciated in my childhood (donkey kong is a more recent love, really  )
-
Well, I guess the games I really really really wanted ...are now mine BUT to be complete, here's the missing ones :
1. SEGA R360
(https://www.dragonslairfans.com/forforum3/r360-wanted.jpg)
(it's me playing on that monster for the very last time, in London Trocadero - 2005)
This game represent the finest technology used for a video game. It was a real competition at the time : who will create the craziest arcade game!
In addition, it will looks great close the the other arcade monster from that era : Namco Galaxian Theater :P
2. EDOT
(https://www.dragonslairfans.com/forforum3/edot-wanted.jpg)
(As seen in the Joystix game room, in Houston / 2009)
That 'environmental' cabinet is simply perfect. The theme is the ultimate one in the video game world : Tron!
I'm simply in love with that one.
3. AIRLINE PILOTS
(https://www.dragonslairfans.com/forforum3/airline-wanted.jpg)
(it's me playing on this baby, in London Trocadero - 2006)
Another big boy that requires a lot of space, but guys, that game deserves it for me! I agree there's not a lot of 'action' in this game, but each time I have the opportunity to play it, I DO!
It's a really 'zen' game! The triple screen is really Immersive. I already had two opportunity to buy it, but I won't miss the third one
4. KUNG-FU MASTER
(https://www.dragonslairfans.com/forforum3/kungfu-wanted.jpg)
It's just a game I really love and so, I would like the dedicated version of course. I only seen one, at Rav's place in 2007. It wasn't for sale at the time, and l8ter... it was already sold.
Anyway, I'm still looking for that one!
5. ASSAULT
(https://www.dragonslairfans.com/forforum3/assault-wanted.jpg)
(As seen in the Joystix game room, in Houston / 2009)
Same reason than Kung Fu Master. I remember Oliver had many of them (different version?), but they were not for sale at the time. Maybe now? ::) ;)
Of course, I'll still up for other games opportunities/rarities , in order to fill my 'nice to have' list ;) But If I had to pick up only 5 'must have ' games I'm still looking for, it would be these 5 ones...
-
Airline pilots...yeahhhh, such a brilliant game. For some weird reason you really feel like having a huge airliner in your hands without any actual motion happening on the cab. It's a bit like Star Wars, the momentum of the motions are so well balanced your really feel like flying, especially on the tower level.
R360 hah ! I suppose V3 has enough height for one ?
And EDOT......I almost had one. I think it's safe enough to let that out in public now. Yes not to long ago (year or two I guess) I was offered one. However, I was 2nd in line, and when the first guy heard there was someone else interested he immediatly bought it. I had put up my HighWay II pinball up for sale just to make room for the EDOT.
So.....somewhere......in my country......there is an EDOT but clearly owned by someone not on this forum....
-
Sorry andre the EDOT is in my bedroom :D
-
I actually own most of my grails, just missing:

Sorry andre the EDOT is in my bedroom :D
are you sleeping in it? ;)
-

Pictures or it didn't... ::) ;)

that Gravitar looks so fresh. One of the most beautiful cabs I have ever seen. Look at the surrounding 3 lines in the side-art. Piece of art
-
Damn, Again I totally agree with Ronald Reagan.
I especially love the CP "cut out". It's so "thin" compared to others....we have to give LOADS of credit to Atari who made a dedicated cabinet for (almost) every game they made. Nintendo looks really bleak compared to that, using the same ugly cab for all games. Seriously, I like the "standard" Nintendo cab now, but it's not exactly something that would win a design price, nor are they real "lookers".
Robin about the EDOT => so THAT's the big surprise you have for your lady visitors in the bedroom !!! ;D ;D ;D
-
more of a dream as it's super rare (nearly all carts have been destroyed due to some sh$t copyright!)... and the cab itself is about 16.000 Euros in second hand...
Cycraft + Fzero monster ride :'( :'(

The one game I really want, This game was soooooooo magical when I saw it new.
You saw no screen! The asteroids were literally floating under the glass. Awe inspiring and took every quarter I had that day.
:D
Yes, Asteroids Coctail Table

This is difficult, there are lots of great games still to be deisred. But for now my top 5 would be:
Nr. 1: Moon Cresta
(http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f307/ckong65/Games%20most%20wanted/Moon_Cresta.jpg)
I played it a lot, back in the eighties and I think that the game is great. I´m not sure if the shown cabinet is an original dedicated one, but I would trade almost any one of my present games just to get it. The game is so great!! Fortunately I have the original PCB, so I play it now and then in a generic cab, or in a Candy (yeah, Moon Cresta on a 29" screen looks awesome).
Nr. 2: Tempest
(http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f307/ckong65/Games%20most%20wanted/tempest1.gif)
Like Moon Cresta, Tempest is a great game. I played it recently for the first time in it´s dedicated shell, during South Coast Slam. Unfortunately the game broke down preey quick, else I would have played it the whole weekend. What I love about the game is the frentic gameplay, the sounds and of course the vector visuals (yeah, I´m a vector man ;D ). As with Moon Cresta, I would trade almost any present game that I own for it, even Gravitar. You don´t happen to have a Tempest, André?
Nr. 3: Gyruss
I like Gyruss, he is a very kind guy, and ..... Hm, wrong sidetrack. :D ;)
Of course I mean the game:
Again, great game, with great stereo sound and stunning visuals. The Cabinet is great also. I don´t think that I will ever get a Moon Cresta cab, and the Tempest will also be very hard to get, but Gyruss should be doable. And in the meantime I play the original PCB of it.
Nr. 4. Frogger
(http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f307/ckong65/Games%20most%20wanted/frogger.png)
What is there to say, very fun and addictive gameplay and I like the looks of the woodgrain cabinet. I´m hoping that this game will also end up in my collection one day.
Nr. 5: Juno First.
For pictures, see this topic. This seems to be a popular game, which is highly desriabel but hard to get. As Tempest I played this game for the first time at the South Coast Slam and I loved every minute of it. Would be great to add to my other games.
This is my top 5 for now, and there is little chance that it will change. But as I sais, there are lots of other great games, like R-Type, BurgerTime, etc.
-
Believe me Erik, if I would have a Tempest I would trade it right away with you for the Gravi....
I love the Tempest cab and artwork but the gameplay....I don't know, it just doesnt "grab" me for some reason. I mean I like it and I enjoy playing others' Tempests now and then but it's really not a game I would desperately want to own...
-
That reminds me - always wanted a Zacc Frogger, like this:
There was one on German ebay a few years ago, seller wouldn't reply to me, wouldn't even reply to a German friend of mine pretending to want it for himself.
-
Zacc froggers like this pass from time to time
-
Well, I am a bit late but ... here's my top 5!

You know back in 2002 or so there were 5 NOS Snax N Jackson machines found in Belgium. Someone stripped them for the NOS G07 monitors and threw out the cabs and parts :(
So what's an EDOT worth?
-
So what's an EDOT worth?
1000 euros max - everything else is insane :P
-
Really? i'll keep my spare then ;D
-
LOL ! Always handy to have a backup.
If you still have a spare Gravitar let me know....

Hmmpf, that's the stories I rather don't wanna hear. Oh well.
-
Really? i'll keep my spare then ;D
why? i bet you paid 50 for it when you got it back then. would be quite a win for you ... 8)

Hmmmmm....looks like were going to get an England vs. Germany after all......... :o

:-)
Actually I paid £1400 just to ship it from the USA!

....and England scores just before the whistle !!!!
damn it, where's the penalty shootout when you need one? ;D
oll (hopefully) knows that i was just kiddin', were those EDOTs even released in europe?
-
I very much doubt it. I don't even think the other Tron games were...at least I only learned about them when I got into this hobby, don't remember them from BITD.
-
Yeah edot and trons were, a lot of the Bally Midway games were.
I remember playing an edot as a child with my friend in a holiday park. We could both fit in at once!!
-
There was definitely and EDOT (and a TRON) at the belgian seashore when I was a kid.
I think I even know where that particular EDOT is living now ::)

Hey that's a Dutch license !!!!!!!!!!!!
Cultural heritage illegally smuggled from our beautiful country !! :)
So this is your main one and the spare one came from the US ?
Ok I will accept it as your token of appreciation for picking up the Sega Bomber and Taito Western Gun...... ;D ;D ;D
Seriously: this proves very much I'm wrong about thinking they weren't imported here....

This is difficult, there are lots of great games still to be deisred. But for now my top 5 would be:
Nr. 1: Moon Cresta
FOUND
OK, it is a Moon crest by Zaccaria, but the game is Moon cresta and the cab is beautiful. So this is good enough for me. :D
(http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f307/ckong65/Moon%20Crest/MC3.jpg)
Nr. 2: Tempest
DELETED
I still like the game very much, but by now I already have some great SHMUP's and plenty of vector games.
Nr. 3: Gyruss
FOUND
Nr. 4.
This is my top 5 2 for now, and there is little chance that it will change. But as I sais, there are lots of other great games, like R-Type, BurgerTime, etc.
This is my updated wish list. So, if anyone knows a Juno First or a Frogger for sale, please give me a ring. I'm in for trades.

hm. I still would love to have:
- Joust
- Star Wars
- Super Sprint
- Q-Bert
- Defender
-
Time for some underdogs, I suppose:
Monaco GP Cabaret.
Even though it was quite common around here in the early 80s, I now keep getting offered the much rarer Pro (which I own already) and Cocktail versions, but have yet to find a cabaret. Well, to be exact, I had one chance to grab one about 10 years ago, but somehow missed it.

There are plenty around for sure....I've really seen these quite a few times throughout Europe...
-
My list has some old and new:
1. Outrun 2 SP
2. Donkey Kong
3. Super Mario Kart GP
4. Off The Wall (Bally Sente)
5. Crayon Shinchan (rare Bishi Bashi-like game)

Poor CKONG.....no more grails..... ;D
-
Time to update this again....
As I have (and most of you) found the cabs I was looking for, I stumbled over this oddity 3 days ago.
In Barcade NY, there was a Slither, didn't think much about it when I first saw it, so I coined it up, and wow, what a cool game awesome gameplay.
It's trackball controlled and with a fire up and down button. And by the looks and gameplay, I think the guys from GDI have been inspired by Centipede.
So now the hunt continues, would very much like this game in the shed...
Here it is in all its beauty....

:o
I've to come to take some cab pictures!
-
hm. I still would love to have:
- Joust
- Star Wars
- Super Sprint
- Q-Bert
- Defender
Oops... funny to see the thread again. :D
I found Joust, Star Wars Cockpit and Defender. So my new list would be:
- Dragons Lair
- Space Ace
- Q-Bert
- Double Dragon
- Track & Field
-
my signature says it all!!!
ok, i wouldn't mind having a dragon's lair either, still kicking my butt that i didn't take the one from the german BOY a couple of years back for 500 euros. i was new to the hobby and had no idea ...
-
Well, after my other post:
Super Sprint or Sprint 8.
-
I think I'd still buy a Mad Planets.
-
And me, a Nintendo Sheriff or maybe a Sega Sheriff :) whichever arrives first.
-
I started collecting in late 2014/early 2015 so i`m still looking for some of the well known, not so special iconic games everyone has, like Donkey Kong, or even a Galaga.
Others on my list are Zoo Keeper, Mad Planets, Gyruss and Track&Field.
-
I think I'd still buy a Mad Planets.
Just put it on my cab... Wow, frantic game! Nice sound!
-
since my gameroom space seems to expand a little bit, i have space for a few more games. unfortunately, i don't have them yet ... but i've updated my signature! 8)
-
I am at a point in my collecting where I am pretty happy with the cabs I have in my gameroom. The only type of game I'm really missing is a classic vertical shooter. So Juno First, Galaga, Galaxian, Gyruss or something similar that is just as long lasting and playable would be cool. But I am not in a hurry. ;D
-
... but i've updated my signature! 8)
TOUCH ME .... great! I'm into this since, I think, 2001, but I've _never_ seen a "Touch me" for sale. I'd also take it anytime, so: great choice :)
-

could have bought one two years ago, but didn't want to spend the amount of money he was asking back then. flashforward to today, the seller still has it, but now he wants even more - damn! still waiting on pics of the machine though (because he's on vacation)!

I saw that arcade game at Disney Quest. Do you think you can try to contact them and see if you can purchase that arcade machine? DisneyQuest is set to close this year, and it would be a shame if Disney disposes of those cabinets. :(
-
Well, I got the upright model since...
Yeah, I know, not as spectacular as the environmental one, but I'm happy with it :)
