Title: Polderacade collection topic
Post by: polderarcade on November 26, 2011, 02:35:52 PM

Oke First the reason I do it this way
Because most of the times I work on multiple projects it’s not ease to make one dedicated topic.
And most of the topics I started are still projects.
but because I want to keep you guys inform’t , I decided to bundle everything in one topic

to start whit two new games/projects that entered the gameroom

the first one is again a sega big boy
whit the selling of the star wars trilogy I needed a new big game to bring to eurocade next year
maybe this is a nice option:

A road test of the game by my neighbor /driver

Game looks hears like its running only screen not working did not have the time to look at it

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next one pick up today I think more interesting for most of you guys it’s more a classic

Was not waiting for a new project
But it was cheap so I couldn’t resist  getting it
Seller told me it is not working when he plugt it in the fuses of  the house blew out need to try myself watts working or not tomorrow

congrats on the vindicators, although the bottom looks pretty nasty! are you going to fix the damage or leave it AS IS?

Thinking of replacing the wood sites of the bottom
The artwork almost came lose totally an the t molding is scrap
So replacing the wood sites won’t be hard I think but I am not in a hurry
I hope I have some time tomorrow to test the electrical parts of the game and taking a closer look at the game

Thanks etienne i will remember that when i need them.

Bid of a lazy day
Did some fast testing on the vindicators
Found out that the line filter is broken
 (http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i380/polderarcade/DSC02746.jpg)

Temporary new filter for testing

Red led on the main board is burning, little bid of glow in the neck of the screen
No image and no sign of life
Also got the feeling I am missing something ? soundboard?

Ully or somebody else knows what s located here normally?

but i got a €2,18 discound on the game

For the rest of the day, placing of new buttons and wiring on my neo geo control panel

definitely missing the sound board! you're lucky, i've got a working spare one here, although it's damn nasty.

That sound board looks nos to me seen worst :P
You got pm

Yep the tank came home the screen will be a bit more of a challenge than I thought
In the star wars trilogy  the projector tubes where mounted in a wooden frame this one they put a complete projection tv in the back(will take a pic tomorrow is easier).
But probably not the last trip to the seller I got the strange feeling I will come back one or two times (SB)

How is the hd project going some progress between hospital visits?

Well, got all the RAMs here now, some NOS from the US, some "used" one's from Bulgaria (they look like they havent been soldered though so they maybe NOS too) and some from former Eastern Germany. Gotta love Google and Ebay...

Did you get the Fly back already ? Where did you buy it from? Wanna know because I bugged Chad from arcadecup.com about it.....

Still have to order caps, I always hate that puzzle on RS online to get the right one's for the right price.

Havent done any work on the boards yet though...hope you forgive...was a bit busy lately  ;)

I -did- fully wash and oven-dry both monitor chassis as they were so totally dirty I didnt want to work on them like that.

Planning on removing all the bad rams from the game pcbs tomorrow evening.

Yes  I am still alive only not that busy whit the arcade(summer time, lots of party’s ;-) )

last week I decided to pick up some games.
One of them maybe interesting for eurocade.

Atari badlands eurocade?
Really like the game
Control panel looks good
(http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i380/polderarcade/a2.jpg)

One site t molding is missing
(http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i380/polderarcade/a5.jpg)

Site art one site nice, the other site missing parts and scratchy

Also a lethal enforcers have two of them now, bud at was a great deal all of them together

And third a photoplay masters but together whit a pinball it left the building to be traded in for

So that was a little polderarcade update more later some projects in the planning

Slowly got the arcade feeling
(http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i380/polderarcade/overzicht.jpg)

9 running oke
6 running with problems
10 not running/not playable

wil make some pix whit the games running next week

badlands - cool pickup! you're getting there with your gameroom, bart, keep the games coming. and the ratio of working / partially working / non-working games is probably normal :P
Title: Re: Polderacade collection topic
Post by: polderarcade on May 07, 2012, 09:29:34 PM
@ etienne thanks for the offer, not  enough to vector?
Bud you guys will know me by now art work is not that important for me, just pud another game next to it and nobody will see it

@ andre talking about hard driving duo you have pot list for the monitor ::)

Good to hear  ratio of working / partially working / non-working games is probably normal

It’s time for a update arcade life is slow, extreme slow no money and to busy with other things.

Only lucky me, this weekend started my two week holyday so decided to spent some time in the arcade.

Decided it was time to do some work

----

First thing done made a nice plastic window for my neo geo hard to see on the pic but made one just for fun.

----

Than a project that is gameroom decoration for 8 years now I think: sega hangon dlx up and running the problem was that the original screen was missing when I god it that is 18” and when I god it they fitted in a 12” into a wood panel not look okey. Also the board wasn’t working had a spare board for a long time and 2 mounds ago I found myself a 17” that was great for this project
The end result:

----
Next project vindicators missing the sound board of mine and got one from ully a long time ago(thanks)  :)
Decided it was time to test it waited already too long.

After a bit of cleaning

So I am really happy now the owner of a working vindicators  to one of the thump buttons not working .
And my biggest problem the game is German :?, so I hope its possible to replace the roms for English one’s
----
Also some new toys got myself a pacman

Sorry did I mention pinball it’s a mission impossible project but looks fun so I decided to get it for the moment I get bored. :P

and because my photo play 2000 decided to stop working. I got a new one a silverball and the most important part it got a 18+ option strange reason everybody plays it now ::) ???

So this was the update
coming days I hope to rearrange the arcade so I can fit in a few more caps got a crowded at the moment

Nice work Bart !

I like the Hang on  :spaceace:

I only think that the "non deluxe" (upright) controls more easy, but defenetly a cool game!

I still have switches here like in this topic:

Not entirely true. Just stand over the bike with your feet on the "ground" and move it left and right as if it was one giant joystick. Doesn't give you the "feel" but I play much better that way  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Nice going Bart !!!

And al little bit in rehab mode now.

But back to arcade

Quote

No, not at the moment is a big project also i have the upright and the Electronics from the upright will go in the full size.
whit the rebuilt of the game room I left space around it so I hope to start working on that one soon

Quote

Yes its complete back class is in two parts one part is oke one in bad condition
Will shoot some pictures.

@reboot hope yours in better condition than mine, will be a learning process whit airbrush to get it oke again.
Also the cpu board of mine is bad bud have 6 spare ones so I will get one of them working

Little impression for the moment YouTube makes the video a bit darker than I wanted, and it looks real dark in the game room.
In real life it isn’t that worse (wil make a beter video later)

Lots of small projects coming this weekend to start whit a new toy
Every arcade needs some background sound

Two time 230 wats max and also a great heater for the winter time
Not really heavy  but most important got it cheap so for now I am happy whit it it’s a nice replacement of 3 smaller amplifiers I was running before.

and this:

got walls of the arcade moving ;D
only downside is I think that once a mound I will neat to bolt down every bolt of the game’s  because the vibration pulls them out ;)
