(That toast-iron plays a lot of great games by the way....but I was disappointed by the Berzerk....game play is too far of from the original.
But there are zillion of great games on it....and I totally envy that Bela still has ALL of his floppies...

I remember my old C64 ... Modified with Speeddos, Speeddos Plus, and after that Dolphin-Dos .. the fastest loader system ever (at this time) ..

I remember faulty VIC chips .. faulty SID Chip ... and EVER faulty I/O Port .. so the parallel-cable will not work ..

But I love this "Computer" really ..

Welcome oldcomputerfan!

BTW: the retrobright stuff works like a charm.
I brought back to cosmetic life an old beat up Apple IIc and an Apple IIe with it. (will try to find the before and after pics and post on a new thread).
All you really need is strong Hydrogen peroxide (I think I use 10 or 20% bought at a beauty supply store for haircare stuff) and corn starch (what I used as a thickener after heating it all up in the microwave).
I painted it on the surfaces, left them out in the sun for several hours (applied a few extra coats in between as it kept drying up) and then wow! all the yellowing gone.

I don't have any old computers (yet...)  ;D, but i am a happy owner of 2 Sierra On-Line PC games.

BTW, chrischris that computer in the barn looks to be a C64 or an Atari 800 (?) clone judging by the keyboard.

Haha, no they look to be terminals.

Terminals are actually no computers but they were hooked up to one big computer. The terminals were nothing more than a monitor and a keyboard and some interfacing hardware to get the data from and to that big computer.

They have very little intelligence of their own. And as you can see they have no drives or anything...

We'd call them a "think client" today I guess ;)

Then the terminals are dumb computers.  ??? ???

Yeah, and that technology was so good that even today we are returning to that kind of concept...

Citrix, terminalservices, VDI, etc. etc.
