Title: Tank, 240-ZZZAP, Barricade, Sprint 2, anyone? (UK)
Post by: urban_paranoia on May 09, 2011, 08:17:20 PM
1. Kee Tank.

Not powered up in some time. It definitely has a PCB fault, although I have at least 3 (if not 4 or more) boardsets with it.

Price - around £200 (with the PCB's).

2. Kee Sprint 2.

Contrary to the photograph, it DOES have a (good condition) control panel, but is missing  the card bezel and PCB (ebay.com, unless someone has spares here). There is a monitor with the cab, but it requires work.

Price - around £75

3. Ramtek Barricade. Not powered up in some time. Was working, but consider as untested.
Rare game.
Price - around £200

4. Midway 280-ZZZAP. Was working (see pics), but last weekend, decided to display corrupt graphics after about 30 mins gameplay.
Price - around £225

I should add that I'm also happy to take offers and/or trade this stuff - as long as I end up with more space, ie;

Mutiple cabs for 1 cab/pinball, etc or a single cab for something smaller...whatever, really! What you got?  :)

posted my comment on the tank in your welcome thread, but let me copy it again:

"i envy you for the TANK, because the controls seem to be in perfect condition (which they aren't on mine), but buying your cab merely for the controls would be stupid. well, thinking about it, i'd take it for 100 pounds because it also has a couple of spare boardset ..."

that sprint 2 is extremely tempting, but what are the odds of ever finding a cardboard bezel for it? do you have a picture of the control panel?

That Tank is shouting to me: BUY ME, BUY ME, PLEASE I WANT A GOOD HOME :)

then buy it, andré! here's my offer: go for it, ask rav if he could store it for you until i'm coming over in summer, if YES have it delivered to rav's place my martin the deliveryman, i'll pick it up for you when i'm crossing the channel and i'll bring it over to the mainland (drop off point to be determined). in exchange, i'll get one or two of the spare boardsets (depending on how many there are).

additionally, i'm thinking about going for the sprint 2, perhaps we could split delivery costs to rav's place ...

of course, it all depends on whether rav would be willing to store more games for us!

another idea: i could take the TANK back with me into storage and bring it over to Eurocade in September where it could undergo a live restoration to get it working! i guess we have a lot of experts on location to make this happen ...

Stop it Ully, you make it sound even MORE tempting ;) ;)

Mmmmm, the facts are: I don't have the space for it :( What I also wonder: how much fun is Tank in 1 player.

I know it's great fun in 2 player. I have vivid memories of the Atari 2600 packed in game Combat. At first, this seemed like a pretty dull cartridge, but I played it a lot with my brother and we had loads of fun.

About your last suggestion a "life" restoration... I'd like to mention something about Eurocade about that, but I'll add that the Eurocade thread..
It's something "the crew" has discussed before and all agreed on....not a biggy, but still important to keep it fun for all ;)

Damn, that Tank looks so sweet....it's so 70's....look at that light-grey bezel, the woodgrain....aaaahhhhh :)

see, follow your dream, you only live once, carpe diem, blablabla :P

you've sold your power drift and almost bought a pp COCKPIT - where has the space gone? this is a nice opportunity, tank is indeed a great game, so why not go for it. price ain't too bad, get it while you can! seriously

Does somebody know him and can give me his email adress (pm) or give him mine?
