Title: Catch of the day:A lot of pcbs and other parts
Post by: Belike on March 13, 2011, 09:38:17 PM
A friend of mine called me this afternoon and informed me, that he made a clearout in his garage and he found some pcbs and some other aracde related stuff. He offered me the whole lot, if I would be able to take everything in this afternoon, so I didn't have any other options, just rush to his place. :D
We made a deal in no time, loaded my combi, the whole roadtrip didn't last more than an hour.

I started to clean and systematize everything, I finished it after sunset

After 2 hours of cleaning, I could dentify most of the stuff, unfortunately no real classics, but some nice pcbs were there:

Volfied (Taito) X4
Ashura Blaster (Viscogames) X2
Asuka & Asuka (Taito)
Traverse Usa/Zippy Race (bootleg)
Macross (Banpresto)
Legionnaire (Tad)
SDI - Strategic Defense Initiative (Sega)
Twin Cobra (bootleg)
Shadow Dancer(bootleg) X2
Shinobi (bootleg) X3
Violent Storm (Konami)
Knights of the round (bootleg) X3
Thunder Fox(Taito)
Carrier Airwing (bootleg) X2
Black Tiger(bootleg)
Terra Cresta(could be original)
Bonanza Bros(Sega)
Raiden (bootlegs?)X3
Street Smart (bootleg)
Monsterland?
Truxton(?)
Super Pang (Mitchell)
Aero Fighters(?)

Some other things:
Hantarex psu X2
Switching psu X2
Neo Geo motherboard+adapter+2 games
Chips, eproms about 100 pieces.
Undentified or broken pcbs about 10
Gambling machine pcbs 5

There are some pcbs with the connector cut :o :o :o

Yeah I already noticed that it was more modern stuff from the square shaped chips on most of the boards....

I bet they cut of the JAMMA adapter to make a custom one for a non JAMMA game!

Bela,

Take a picture of the 10 unknown pcbs - maybe we can identify them.

I've tested some of these stuff, especially the Sega pcbs and I realized that some of the system 24 games loaded their program from floppy disks or Cd roms. :o (maybe this is not new to some of you) :D
I found a Bonanza Bros pcb in the lot and as I saw it on KLOV and youtube, it's a real cool game, unfortunately not working. :-\
When I turn it on, there is tripled image on screen says: "Sega system 24 now loading", then nothing happens.

I don't know if this pcb used a floppy disk/cd for loading it's program, or just the romboard, so any input would be appreciated.
The other Sega pcb is Crack Down, but if KLOV is correct, it used the floppy disk version.

Those System 24 games were Medium Resolution (25khz), so that's probably why you're seeing the multiple screens.

I believe most of the System 24 games used floppy disks, but I seem to recall one game used a ROM board.  Don't recall which one that was though
