Title: TV as monitor via scart: how to connect?
Post by: jomm on January 12, 2007, 05:06:31 PM
I really like the idea to use a scart-tv as a monitor, but I want to know how to connect the TV (RGB-, sync-wires etc.) in a jamma or non-jamma cab. I don't want to blow up my new TV-set(s)!!!

Jomm, what do you want to connect on your TV : true arcade pcb, or computer with advancemame ?

It should be for true arcade pcb's. As I have seen on the link, provided by scr33n (nice link by the way), and Darth's picture it shouldn't be that hard to connect. My only problem was what to do with the 3 negative color-wires. If I'm right those neg-color-wires (scart side) should be connected to the video-ground-pin (cab-connector).

Not yet Darth, I'm still waitin' for some parts I've ordered in France and the US of A. You see I've got an original "Space Chaser"-cab with a "Gyruss" pcb inside, nothing works at the moment, did'nt test the pcb yet, and I want the make that cab work'n again (I also want to construct a PCB-test bench). At Carrefour or GB they have those nice Tv-sets, at verry low prices, like the ones you use and I was wondern'. By the way, I was at Blankenberge a few weeks ago, nothin' changed sinds your or my visit, the Galaxian3 is still in place with alot of "recent" games. My god, what would I give to went back in time!!!!!
