Title: Donkey Kong Control Panel. Is it anything more than just a plank ?

Since I plan on converting my MB into a DK I will have to also replace the CP.

The MB CP is all metal. We all know that the DK is wood, and from what I've seen it's simply a plank and not much more. Am I right, or are there any ridges or special edges I would have to router ?

It is indeed just a plank of wood. Here are some pictures, maybe they will help.

That's too much routing etc. for my taste. I just saw that even Scr33n used a real one.....
