I think it's still available in the Netherlands, otherwise I'll bring it to work on Sunday and scan it for you guys.

If you guys are on Facebook add me, Rav scanned it and put it up on there.

http://www.next-gen.biz/features/out-now-e217 This is the issue, something like 8 pages about our hobby/games.
Back to the topic: is it Rush'n Attack??

Mhhhh... Galaxian Theater maybe or R360? ::)
-
no it was a serious guess
your topic title was FXXXXXX and F*ROGGER fits right in to the X's, that's why ;D
-
Clue 2.
One target left. Rejoin to the west. I'll clean up.
Plane distance three, watch left.
Roger. Rolling in left.
Leave your cover. Get out of there.

-
After Burner *CLIMAX* ? ::) Maybe a mission over USSR in there ... ?
-
you didnt say you had to learn Russian to play it. I thought maybe the seller was Russian and couldn't speak a word English

Aaaaa i was hoping to see you get a Morskoi Boi after reading about it i'm in love!
-
Ok you guys guessed! It's a Firefox
-
Woow!!! What an addition to your collection! The cockpit is a real piece of art :-*
Can't wait to see the road trip... Take care ;)
-
Tomcat?
Impossible, the only Tomcat that exists is a PCB in a SW upright cab in Jed Margolin's house......well he WAS thinking of selling it. But Tom Cat is nothing more then a flying demo over a set of dots on the screen. Not Russian to me....
I think it's Raid Over Moscow ! (O wait, that's an Atari 8-bit game :D)
Did you buy it from the Arcadebarn ? I remember I saw one there....not working regretfully....

Road trip starts
(http://www.ultrax.org/alpha1/firefox/1.png)
The weather is pretty bad :(
(http://www.ultrax.org/alpha1/firefox/2.png)
After nearly 4 hours of driving we arrive at the sellers house. I park outside the garage.
The seller arrives... We open the garage door and....
Holy shit it is in fabulous condition and all original! The seller gives me an additional LD player, Firefox LD and Firefox PCB set.
He tells me he got the game from an arcade sometime around 1988. It has been in his dads garage for 20 years after the laserdisc player broke!
I load the game up:
The game is loaded up and I have the spares, I bid the seller farewell and leave to go home
(http://www.ultrax.org/alpha1/firefox/7.png)
What's the in the sky? It looks like the second Firefox prototype is after me...
So we decide to hide out at Burger King :D
(http://www.ultrax.org/alpha1/firefox/9.png)
I finally arrive home. Total road trip 405 miles (600ish? km?)
Oliver

 holy shiat! you're driving in the wrong side of the road........
-
I'll take some more pictures once I have unloaded the game from my car. I was tired so left the game in there overnight.
-
Awesome :o A Firefox :o :-* :-* :-* ...and spare parts, well done :)
For your first RT story published here ;)

I think Rav' has also an upright Firefox, but not an original one If I remember well (Return of the Jedi conversion?) ?
As far as we can see on your first pictures, the cab' looks in good condition. Can't wait to see the pictures after unloading the game ;)
:spaceace:

Congrats with the catch !
Nice to read your story !
-
WOW ! The UK is the head-quarters of rare cabs in Europe....
Brilliant catch Ol !
-
Congratulations, the cab still looks in great shape. I hope to see pictures of it playing very soon. :)
-
holy moly! - that´s in nice shape! congrats on the buy!
-
It's sure looks nice :)
Gratz on the catch... ;)
-
The game is safe and sound now at my parents place. I didn't have time to take pictures but I opened her up and the machine is complete. All the serial numbers appear to match :D
-
Well, Done Oli
When I bought my Dragon's Lair back in 1990 the seller had a working Firefox as well, I wanted to buy it but I didn't have the cash.. it won't take you long to get her working again.
Love the film, Love the game!!!
-
Wow - who was the seller back in 1990? An Operator?
-
Great catch!
-
Would LOVE to see a video of this one....
-
I'll take some better pix soon. Also my old Firefox upright (also Atari Ireland) will be up for sale soon. But someone has first refusal on it.
Oliver

In answer to you question Oliver...... the seller was located in London and he's name was Desmond... He was a laser disc arcade fanatic!! He had laser games all over the house, the Fire Fox he had was a sit down I think but not like the cockpit version more like a Stun Runner type cab.... but I may be wrong it was a long time..
Think in Russian
