Very nice trio you got there. they seem to be in a very good condition. I especially love the Vanguard, but that is probably because I have the same one.  :)

They are in separate rooms in the house, but I thought the same about to make a group photo a few hours ago. ;D

Vanguard works, just have monitor focus setting problems, there is no sharpness of the pic.Tried to set on monitor's neck, but nothing changed. Is there any other way to set the focus?

I like them !!!

Interesting to see some have a "foot" and some don't. I've always found the Zaccaria (like Erik's Vanguard) extremely small, totally impossible to play when standing. A foot helps to raise it a bit.

Focus is never controlled on the neckboard but always a pot on or very close to the HVT (=Flyback transformer).

Your cabinet's bezel is from Phoenix or Quasar, the CP. and the marquee is original Zaccaria Scramble(that marquee is missing from my cab! ;D), the cabinet itself is interesting..... :o
Never seen like this before. :o

Can you send me a pic how is HVT look like? 8)

What kind of technology do you use for scanning bigger items(sidearts, bezels, etc.)?
Title: Re: The Zaccaria Squad arrived today!

A flatbed scanner and scan in parts.

You will need to "stich" the scans.

http://www.rotheblog.com/2008/04/tutorials-arcade/scanning-arcade-game-sideart/

I now own a printer that has a built in scanner, but I also have a separate scanner. The issue with that one is that when I remove the lid, the "hinges" are still preventing it to lie completely flat on the surface. However, I can now "mod" this scanner at will  ;D

I've done a similar job for the Pleiads front artwork (https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=651.0). Not as difficult as a side art as you can see  ;)
I also have an A3 scanner (and so make the work more easy), but for some reason, It cannot scan correctly if the image to scan is not 100% against the windows of the scanner! Or else, it looks 'out of focus'. I do not have that problem with my old AGFA scanner A4. Very strange, so pay attention to this if you have to buy a scanner for this...

I have this in my office:

HP Scanjet 4670

the scanner is not fixed to the mount, and we used it for scanning newspaper articles and books , so we did not need to cut the newspaper / books.

look at this picture and you'll get the point  8)

at this moment we dont use it anymore..

Its A4 in size , but that is better than nothing i think  ;)
I think its the perfect candidate to scan artwork if you ask me

I can bring it if robin wants to use it to scan the crazy kong bezel.

then we only need someone with some Illustrator skills to vectorize it
(i would like to do it but i dont have the time to learn it ;D)

i pass ridderkerk to my job every day so that wont be a problem  :)
(robin is located in ridderkerk as i remember correctly right ?)

I would appreciate it, looks like a mission impossible to find an original bezel for it. ???

The pinball people use this model of scanner a  lot to scan playfields because of elements that can get in the way so it has been tried and tested quite  a bit for artwork scanning.
