Hy, i am new to this Website and new to Arcade too.
I was dreaming of an Dedicated Cabinet but my wife sad:" think you are stupid , how old are you" ;D
So i was starting to build a Cocktail-Table 7 Weeks ago, hoping wife did not realized that i am building an Arcade-Machine ;D
It´s optimized to our livingroom, little bit larger than the original.
Two Sticks each side, Panel ist 60cmx18cm each side .
But let Pictures spaek.

Wow... choosing to replicate an Asteroids cocktail is a great challenge ;)
Very good job so far... I presume you already have some 'wood working' basis, regarding what you've already done.
Regarding your wife, I'm sure she'll be happy to play Tetris, Puzzle Bobble on that machine ;)

No prob. ,i will looking for a scaner, my own did not Work >:(
When i have got a new one i will copy plans for you ( they are not complete, lot of parts are done without plan)
so , next pictures, i will try to paint next week ( at this moment it´s to cold in garage for airbrush)

Are the legs telescoping? It seems a little too low to the ground, (well for me, I have long legs)

it´s only a first try, but i am realy trying to build the Table not so high, its for livingroom.
When you are sitting on the Sofa, it must be possible to lay your legs on it .

its difficult to write in english.
The Pictures are also good for other people who are building a cab, think all user like to watch pictures ;D
When i´ve got questions, i will tell you, the pictures are also for me, it´s easyier for me to think about project when i can see on screen :wink:

the second is lower
i like for the view the second, but ofcourse the more important question is if you use method 2 is the height of the table comfortable or too low?
i mean its important when you sit there that the total height is good for the users
and there is another difference, in one of the pics the bars under the table (the "crossbars") are under the side bar instead of on top of it
i would go for a combination of a small height between the foot and the bar , and for the crossbar i would use the height that is more comfortable for play and sit behind it
for the view it looks good both ways, up or under

Yes, you are right.
Table will be used for livingroom so i´ve got to take care about high.
You cann not sit on a sofa with table high 80cm.
I´am trying to build it low as i can, its limited to deep of the Braodcasting monitor.
