Well, I've been a good boy for the entire first half of the year.
No cabs bought.
Not one.
But I couldn't pass on this one ! :

I must be insane.....my 2nd Asteroids bootleg.....
This one has one of the most weird CP's I've seen. Basically the whole thing doubles as a big ashtray !
The buttons are mounted angled inward, which in fact may be a very good idea to have good control....
There's a load of pics of another Asterock (not the one I bought !) on my good friend Andreas' site here:
http://andysarcade.de/data/picseries/asterock/overview.html
Notice that the card-board bezel there is the original Atari one, which is not original on the Asterock....

picture doesn't work for me, but i've already seen your post on the klov forum.
the machine has an interesting weird design - congrats on that catch. where did you spot that / pick it up?
-
Are you going to start an Asteroids bootleg collection? ;D ;)
Nice pickup btw, it's always nice to see something "new" and uncommon. Is it vector based like the real thing, and is it working?
-
Fixed the picture. Superully, this one comes from Belgium. Still at the seller. I know him very well.
Of course it's vector based :) The monitor is working, PCB not....(yet)....

Back to the topic please, gentlemen ::)
André, here an other 'Asteroids' boot

...owned by Zebassprophet (remember this road trip (https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=721.0)).
On that picture, the bezel has been changed & the control panel modified... but it was a real Asteroids boot' :P

Wow that's a really weird one. I think Asteroids was the most bootlegged (and licensed) game ever. There are LOADS of them:
