Title: just a question on pcb-parts
Post by: jomm on January 03, 2006, 07:54:51 PM
Hi darthnuno, nice to see you've got the Tron-cab work'n. :D
I saw you've installed new roms on your Tron-pcb and you were talk'n about let'n it repaired by some kind of arcade-repair-shop.
My question is: I have some classic pcb's in my collection that don't work anymore and I was wonder'n if it would be possible to give the adres of that  repaire-shop or where you've got the roms.
I've already tried to order some of those parts by SUZO/HAPP but they don't seem to be verry cooperative when they hear I'm not a profesional.

Hi Jomm,

The set of new Tron roms has been won on ebay, but here's a good website in France if you need to burn new roms : www.starcab.net
If you need to repair some pcb, you can visit this website http://www.arcadiabay.de/ and drop a mail for info. The shop is in Germany, and I plan to send them my Tron PCB.
Hope it can help

bye

I 've got a "citty-conection" and a "side arms" to repair and a "Gyrus" I still have to test. But most of all I need a bit of money (   always the biggest problem, I gues  ) to pay for the repairs.

I know, Gyruss is my all-times favourite, I once played almost 5 hours on one game until the arcade-owner kicked me out.
Unfortunly I don't own any dedicated cabs, I justed started collecting the games for 1,5 years ago, after I decided to convert a NEOGEO-cab into a MAME/Daphne-cab. The problem is that I don't know anything of electronics (except for some soldering), so the cab must be in a working condition when I buy it, which ofcourse costs a lot more.  :?    :?

[Darth Vader voice=On ] Impressive... very impressive  8)  8)  8)

Don't be affraid 'bout repairing arcade games... I was like you... I mean I had no knowledge 'bout electronics... but with a lot of motivation, it's still possible to do anything...  :)
