We have a huge photo database from the 1900 to 1990's here in Hungary on the net called Fortepan (www.fortepan.hu), you can browse with keywords, locations, etc..
Yesterday I checked if there is any photo from our demolished Amusement Park and found some pics from the arcade.
On the top of the pic, where the policeman stands, there is a Zacc with the Space Station sideart, that was the first Phoenix, I've ever played. ;D
There are 2 more Zaccs on the pic, unfortunately I don't remeber the one with the Astronaut sideart, but there is one more next to it, you can see just a small piece from its backside, it was a Scramble.

By the way, there are almost 100.000 pics on this database from all around the world, you might find some gems.

Yeah, there were the communist police everywhere those days, on the first pic, you can also spot the watchman on the top. ;D ;D

I really love such old photos. I wish there would something like this from our town....and I wish we would have taken more pics bitd ::)
-
I would "kill" for pictures of my first "arcade" and I am _SURE_ they must exist as it was at a famous camping site.....people made pictures during their holidays....but no way to find them in private collections.
So I understand how you felt finding these !!
I already think it's pretty "liberal" that you guys actually had an arcade, after all it's a very American/capitalist thing.....or did you guys get your money back when you left ? ;) (That would be the communist thing to do...right ? ;) )
That picture of Rotterdam is AWESOME.....the Café on the right "'t Fust" (=the (beer) barrel) still exists today and is very popular to sit on the terrace at day time and is a nice club to go out at night.... :D

Lol, perfect point of view. ;D
Browsed for the keyword Rotterdam, I found a lot more, enjoy ;)

Wienerwald was very popular in Germany when I was young. They had chicken, fries and that sort of food. There was one in Neustadt and they had two cabs in their entrance. I think one of the games (at least for a time period) was Pengo. Dirk and I used to go there (besides other fast food restaurants and the Karstadt entrance) after school ::)
