just bought this neogeo cabinet
with a bit of browsing i found this picture:
it's an amazing cabinet because the monitor is fixed in a rotating harness. so very easy to change to horizontal and back.
it now is vertical with multi-jamma pcb, but converting it to a 2 player sunset riders very soon.
maby in the future reinstalling a neogeo 4 slots pcb, but for now sunset riders will do.
ah.. and changed out the joysticks because they are 4way and plays terrible with games that aren't pacman or galaxian, if these are original joysticks how the hell did you ever played neo-geo games on this. ???
-
Many later model joysticks had a restrictor plate that could be removed/rotated to set 4-way versus 8-way.
Paul.

These cabs were pretty common in The Netherlands.

Yep, I once had two of them. Awful joysticks, much too sturdy. I believe I sold one of them and dismantled the other one for the monitor. Still have the controls and buttons somewhere, useless.
I would replace joysticks and buttons for Sanwa / Seimitsu parts. :)

The one you sold is the one I bought lol same damage on the side I turned the monitor and have a sunset riders original konami 2 player pcb in it now very Nice game

There is only one ckong, only one! LOL So I guess I bought it in 2008! Must have been the Nozomi forum, where I was pretty active back then.
BTW, I would take one for € 3, can always use a spare monitor. ;)
Edit: draadje op nozomi even opgezocht en inderdaad, ik heb deze High Tech destijds gekocht van ene Muzzle (destijds was mijn forum naam nog pooyan, heb ik later laten veranderen in ckong). Grappig.

Royal video cabinets are worth 3 euro Haha omg they are So bad. I like this one its robust and the monitor turning harness is great. Joysticks suck changed them right away.

Royal Video cabs, with a working screen, are worth at least 200 euros.
If anyone wants to sell me theirs for 30 euro, feel free!
