Before going off to live in Bruno's Lair in Belgium,  Pac Mania wanted to see a few places of interest around town!

Pac Mania got to see where Sonic 1992 works, The San Jacinto State Park:

travel the world ?

in fact it makes me think about a french movie called 'Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain', 'Amelie of Montmartre' for the export
(http://blog.nain-de-jardin.fr/images/photos%20blog/Le-fabuleux-destin-d-amelie-poulain.jpg)

there's a sequence inside the movie where she makes the garden dwarf of her father travel the world.
Just because her father lost the envy of living since the death of his wife.
The dwarf then send him postcard from several famous place in the world.
He then realize that life's not over and decide to travel himself.

On a personal note... I've met my wife in Paris, and the FIRST movie we've seen together in a cinema (still in Paris) was this one [mode Private life=Off ::)]  :P

<off topic>
the director of the movie is also the one who did Alien IV. This explain why the faboulous actor 'Dominique Pinon'
with his incredible head, features in both films (Amélie and Alien IV) and almost all Jeunet's movies.

Bruno : nice story.

congrats bruno, nice machine! believe it or not, i've already touched it with my own hands. how come?

i saw THIS pac-mania together with another one standing in a german warehouse only 50 kilometers from where i live. unfortunately, it had already been sold to the guy you eventually bought it from. before he came to pick the machines up (there were around 150 cabinets altogether, most of them universal cabs), i offered him 100 euros if he sold the pac-mania to me right away, but he said he was going to sell it on ebay and that he would get 600 - 700 euros for it. well, he didn't  ;) the first one was sold for around 200 euros, the second one (which is now yours) sold for XXX - i have no idea ;D i should have offered him 200 euros instead of 100, then YOU and I would both have a pac-mania at home. DAMN!!!  >:(
how do i know that yours is the one i saw a couple of months ago? because of the "sick pac-man", of course! :ghost:

there was one thing i got from that warehouse sale, however: a sitdown pole position cockpit (which is still in storage in the warehouse). hopefully i'll be able to pick that one up soon!

Hey, thanks for that story about my sick Pacmania  ;) I really love to know such histories  8)
Each time I'm doing a road trip, I'm asking the sellers : where this game came from and what is the story behind the cabinet?

...because it's not only a matter of games  ;)

Once again, thanks for the story  ;) ...here's for you

i wonder what does the marquee look like from the back?? is there anyway you can cut out the messy bit on pac and somehow put something underneath the hole and then fill it back in and smooth it out, and do a better job of it than the previous guy?
