Ok getting a bit desperate on the repair, so if anyone has a nice working Galaxian PCB for sale in Europe....please let me know.

Yes, please help the man! If he can get his hands on a very nice and clean (no repairs) 100% working original Midway Galaxian board,  then I am willing to trade my Namco board with his midway board.    :) But only then.  :)

That is,  if André is up for such a trade.

I was looking on eBay and there's one listed as 100% working....this is one of the pics.......

Nope, the board is not hacked to DC.

It could still work , the caps could even still "do something" but anyway....when these are going to leak it's going to hurt the board.

The seller is even selling it with a 5 day warranty so it probably works but if you put up a pic like this and not notice that both caps are burst open.....

Looks very nice, clean board Marco, I think 2 or 3 chips may have been replaced, but these could even be factory repairs. There's also one heatsink missing on the RAMs on the lower right corner but I can fix that.

The board is not modded to DC which is great :)

It's up to Erik. As you may have seen I'm progressing again with the repair but.....I am still interested in that board.

I am even so far that I could give up on the "Namco" originality if Erik doesn't like this one so I would use this one in my Namco cab, only problem is that the audio output stages are different, not sure what I would have to mod for that (Erik's board has a jumper installed by Robin for the sound)

Anyway, I'd love to at least test that board Marco, thanks for digging it up ! :)

Actually it's up to you, my friend. As I mentioned I will trade my Namco board with you for an original, clean and 100% working Midway board. Maybe Marco can send the board to you so you can check it out, measure values, add the heatsink, etc. And then, when the SUN is in the right position and the skies are finally blue, we could do a magic swap this Sunday. If you still want that of course.  :)

Whatever your decision and the outcome  is, I will bring my board so you can at least use it as a reference until Eurocade.

I will miss my Namco board of course, but hey, a Namco board belongs in a Namco cab, as does a Midway board in a Midway cab.  :'( 8)

Yes please still bring your Namco Erik....even if it's only for reference to what I have here now....

Well soon....mmmm. There's a shit-load of work to be done to the cab still....monitor, harness.

I can't promise anything. THere's also summer holidays ahead. But I do hope...... ;)
