Do you know if a Data I/O 288A can do Bipolar PROMS ?

Unfortunately, I do not know, it might depend on the adapter you are using with your 288A. I'd prefer an ChipWriter, 22 or 29/B Model. They definately can do the job!
I never found detailed information about the 288 device list...
