Title: hi help with donkey kong cab building

i want start a donkey kong cab and a mario bros cabinet

im in italy and i want some help with the measurements of jakobud

how can i convert in metric ? have you some plans in metric ?

i don't have illustrator at the moment but with illustrator i can open the vector file of jakobud and convert in metric ?

Hi,

It's easy to convert inch in metric : 1'' = 2.54 cm

what measurement are not complete ?

im very newbie on the wood cutting but good on electronics, mame , joystick, tv monitors and other :)

I started my plans with Jakobud's plans.
And ChanceKJ gave me pictures with measurements to correct.
The difficulty for me is that I do not have the cab at home.
ChanceKJ will print this plan at 1:1 scale and compare.

with these measurements

can i fit a 21 crt sony trinitron inside ?

im watching the measurements and i think yes

what kind of monitor you put inside ?

On the original cab it's a 19'' monitor in vertical position.

Hello,

it's not always a good idea to use a Trinitron, there may be a problem when the screen is tilted.

with me there was this problem, by others not ?

i dont' want put vertical the trinitron because i want use like mame cab

i know is not like original but i can use with more games :)

i also have an idea on neo geo

to convert the gevin neo geo (identical to you) to a mvs red neo geo usa

with paint and same control panel and other

what you think ?

but my dreams is 3 cabinet nintendo

mario dk and popeye , (and why not fix it felix :D )

Hi,
i'm also from italy and building a donkey kong from scratch. I started with the jakobud plans and build most of the cabinet but now i'm correcting some errors with Gaetan wonderful drawings.
I advise to use directly Gaetan plans.
In my opinion if you build a donkey kong replica it should be a "donkey kong".
