Well, can't remember where did you get all these ingenious 'credit button' assembly to fix on coin door, seen at the Eurocade meetings
Where to buy them?
-
Luigi makes them. I like some too
-
Same here - if he ever decides to do a batch, I'll definitely get some!
-
Same for me :)
-
id like a few myself ;D
-
Tyrem needs about 20 of these too.....better than fiddling in the coin doors Stefan ;)
IMHO this is the best option for games without free play. No damage to the coin door yet it's a firm and reliable and easy to use fix. My Berzerk still has it :)
It's a very ingenious design, much like a paper clip: out of one piece, simple to install and use.....not sure if Thorsten designed it but he should patent it ;)
-
and I think they look nice as well :spaceace:
-
Oh my goodness. I just sold the last ones to someone and thought that there was no more demand, but..... :)
OK, please throw in some numbers so I have a clue how many are needed.
It may take a while but I can make new ones.
And yes, it is my design. I have made a few different samples and kept the best working design....while I'm open for improvements :)
I hope the weak Euro doesn't make them more expensive :-\

if i have more time - i'll put a freeplay w/ attract mode in all the games...

Niceeeeeeeeeee.......and a Berzerk High score kit please :D
I'll take 2 please....not much but almost all my games have free-play or a button already :)
-
id like 10 if at all possible thank you ;D
-
45 for me please :)
-

nope, we don´t need them in my basement since the plan is that we will put all the games on freeplay. every game in my arcade will get a savekit with freeplay, attract and upload.
in the meantime we have to coin them the old way. :)
-
Niceeeeeeeeeee.......and a Berzerk High score kit please :D
this is definately going to happen since berzerk will be my new guest this saturday. ;)
-
Sounds like a new KICKSTARTER projet! ;D
-
I'm in for 10.
-
Put me down for another 20. I made a few into crocodile temporary ones for the show and they were a big hit for those games that turned up without credit buttons.
Thanks,
Paul.
-
Funny timing because a few days ago i remembered seeing a similar one at F.A.O. in Germany and thought i need those. Count me in for 15.
-
if i have more time - i'll put a freeplay w/ attract mode in all the games...
Sir, this will ruin my business!! ;) ;D
122 :o
I will order 150 pieces (cut the right size), then drill and bend them.
They will be made of 1mm stainless steel, as usual.
-
Put me down for 5 as well ;D

Mmmm, I dont think that there will be kits for those 50 games within a couple of weeks ;)

nope. :) give us a couple of month please. :D
-
On Friday Jochen showed his work to Dirk and me. We played our Space Zap and the hiscores were uploaded to a special homepage that was made for our arcade :)
Awesome work, incredible talent!! :spaceace:
-
Totally love them....I suck mostly as a player but I discovered I was playing MB (while I have this at home) just to beat the High score on Stefan's cab :):):)
Maybe stupid but it does show how much fun a bit of competition adds :):)
Wasn't pleased with my Popeye performance though....check those settings, they seemed to be too hard ;)
-

they are too hard for sure. :)
our savekit for popeye will fix this problem anyway. I want DK Jr. and Popeye to be next. And Mario Bros. of course.
-
Off-topic, but what's are your highscores on MB?
Just for personal reference of course :)

mine is not worth mentioning. i don´t even have it in mind. i never played it to get better. i will as soon as the scores are uploaded for sure. :)
-
If it is not to late, I would like five of these please, Luigi.
-
Not too late, yet. I have just ordered the 150 metal pieces ;)
This might take a while, then I will drill and bend them.
I will drill a hole of 7,5mm for a switch like the one Bruno posted. If you don't want that (because you want to install a different switch) please let me know!!
I also need info who wants a complete bracket incl. switch and cable (4€) or the bracket only (3€).
AND...if you want them with switches....what colour you prefer ::)
-
Man, don't make this too hard for yourself and think like Henry Ford: you can get any color as long as it's black.....;);)

lol :D
No problem, I have to order the switches anyway and if someone wants a specific colour I can order them.
btw....you might want to reconsider the number of brackets due to the price. The price for stainless steel is risen again...thanks to the weak euro :-\
-
Whatever the color button for me, I just would like it to be included in the 'package'. :)
-
I like mine just the way they are right now
-
I like mine just the way they are right now
erm....the blank and flat metal plate? ;D ;)
What exactly do you mean, mate? :)
-
for me 10 as requested :complete bracket incl. switch and cable (4€) red switch please ;D
-
Oh sorry ::)
Mine look like the one in Brunos pic, that's fine for me
so with the switch and cable
-
With switch (red) and cable please :)
Thanks
-
For 1€ Euro extra, everyone will be wanting them complete I guess ;)
You should post these on KLOV.....you can sell hundreds ;);)
-
red button and cable for me, please.
-
Put me down for 5 as well ;D
Full options please, button any collor will do.
-
Found 4 of those buttons in yellow still here.....so bare one's will be fine for me :):)
-
Still waiting for the bare metal stripes....this is driving me mad
come on...it's just cutting and softening the edges :-\
-
Called yesterday just to hear they finished them Monday
Production has started :)
Drilled and bent the first 12. I only can do them in small amounts. It's a very busy workshop and I have to wait until they stopped working ~16:30.
I will leave the plastic layer on them this time because last time some of the brackets got nasty scratches. This means you will have to apply the sticker and install the switch yourself...I'm very confident you will be able to do this ;)
Pics from the 'making of'
(more to come)
-
:spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:
-
more pics....
2) pre-drilling 4mm
3) final drilling 7.2mm
4) deburring (is this the correct word?) the hole
5) 50 metal pieces after drilling and cleaning waiting for the bending machine
6) some more waiting ::)
-
more pics from the bending process....
7) first bending: the part that slips into the coindoor. Two steps: bend as far as possible, then take it out and press it with the machine
8 ) don't press too hard, leave a slot
9) bend here to limit the part straight away from the coindoor
10) this bending limits the part where the switch is installed
11) going downwards and straight back to the coindoor
12) tadaaa
13) pile o'brackets keeps growing :)
-
I believe i still have some decals that you gave me, i'll bring them Saturday ;)
-
:spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:
-
Sweet, nice to see how these are made.... Really cool.
-
Thanks...I only wish I would be an octopus so I could bend 8 pieces at once :D
-
You need to design a machine that makes these in one go ;);)
Awesome work, thanks !!!!
-
200 switches arrived yesterday....now I have to cut the wires and solder them to the switches ::)
I found out that the brackets have sopme 'dirt' along the edges if you peel the protection layer. I think it's molded foilage or glue from the laser cutting. The former pieces had been cut the old-fashioned way, there was no dirt.
You can simply rub it away or use some window cleaner.
FYI :)
-
This is unacceptable!!
-
This is unacceptable!!
People complain about everything. Once a guy from UK complained about some remains of polishing stuff on a hollow joystick shaft...all he had to do is use a soft tissue to remove it and it shines like a mirror ::) So better tell the people in advance that there MIGHT be some dirt from the laser cutting ;)
-
People bitch all the time, they should be happy you make them.
just MHO ofcourse.
-
OK, all the brackets have been sent (last 4 'letters' left on Saturday).
Hope you guys will be happy with them :)
If there's a problem, let me know.
Oh, one word about the switches....it's hard to get them in decent quality these days and I had some of those switches not working.
If it happens that you cannot get credits after installing the bracket and the switch, don't forget to check if the switch works!! ;)
Let me know if you have any non-workers and I will send replacement :)
-
Got them today!!! :P :P :P
