bought this for a few euros on ebay.....so i have something to do in winter :-)

dont know what it is?
have you ever seen this cabinet?
is it universal or was it a dedicated ?

its no neo geo i guess :-)

i want to built a "custom dedicated" ....put in a pcb that was never released as dedicated ..........only shooting game

any tips for a good shooter that has no own cabinet ?
thought about neo xyx but its very expensive

Looks like a custom build cabinet, not even generic.

looks like they used laminated woodgrain panels and build a box from it and slapped the most ugly tmoulding i have ever seen on it  ;D
(notice the direction change of the woodgrain pattern on the kickplate and coindoor part in comparation with the controlpanel part)

judging by the coindoor, its european, stainless coindoors are mostly found on euro cabinets.

Defenetly not dedicated, Astro fighter is a Sega/gremlin game and came in a froggerstyle cabinet :

Still defenetly a good candidate to use for whatever game that was never released in a dedicated cabinet, or mame cab.
that saves the real dedicated cabs from beeing mamed/butchered  ;D

It looks like a Bell Fruit cabinet, that's been converted.

i think its a custom built panel. thats why the wood looks different,.
the (bad) button layout and start buttons near the coin door can only be custom made :-)
maybe it was a majong panel or something like that before

i picked the cabinet up last day.

there is a sticker on the back door that says:

bell fruit astrofighter
