Title: Eurocade 2014 - Football championship 'party'
Post by: Luigi on August 21, 2014, 12:11:28 PM
Hi everybody.

I wanted to know who will be in Hilversum on Friday evening and have a "Weizenbier" with us to celebrate the German Championship :)

Need a number how many beer we need.

To the dutch guys....is it possible to buy crushed ice at gas stations or in supermarkets? When do supermarkets usually close in the evening?

CU :)

Weißbier: 2
Regular beer: 2

Hmmmm ... the Cavemans will be there on friday night! BUT we are not into football at all. We hate it. And unfotunately we are not into Weizenbier either. So no need to calculate a beer for us. We will bring one or two crates of that beautiful and strong Astra beer we drink here in the north. So you can bet we will join the party, rant about that stupid sport and have a brew or two ;)

Of course, if there are more people saying they don't like to drink Weizenbier I will bring less of it and some other stuff in addition ;)

There's no need to bash on the sport at all at that evening.....just a small party and the first one who starts to discuss about it will pay the whole beer  ;D

I am going to be honest and say I prefer a more "regular" beer than Weissbier, sorry Thorsten.

And I can only drink "limited amounts", both physically and because we will have a loooooong saturday after that evening ;)

However, don't forget to bring that German shirt, my size is XL now (maybe L) ;) ;) ;)

Or was it a hat ? I forgot LOL :)

So looking forward to this !!

Do you guys know already definitly what cabs you'll bring ? I am going to make a floor plan today :)

No finaly decision, yet, sorry :(

I will take the Weissen that André passes on. I love it. :D  But indeed, also in limited amounts, Saturday and Sunday are still ahead then. And Monday not to forget.

Crushed ice? I don't know if gasstations sell it, supermarkets are more likely. They are open until 8 PM or so.

I have never seen crushed ice for sale here. We all have fridges in this country.... ;D

I saw you could buy it at gas stations in the US and wondered what they'd use it for...

Dont want to Be a party-pooper ( http://youtu.be/9SJjwUokZrE , from 4.55 brilliant stuff with Hans Dulfer) and I hate having to be practical here but...where are we going to do this ? Don't  think the hotel will be very happy with us bringing drinks there and B&G will be closed on the Friday evening.....any ideas ?

Well, this wasn't supposed to be an 'all night long' party ;)

Just a quick beer at the back of Dirk's car in the parking lot....half an hour maybe....not a big thing at all :)

They sell crushed ice here at gas stations. Cocktails and longdrinks have become very popular over here so the people might need ice in larger amounts ;)

No, but you can make your do-it-yourself crushed ice. You will need icecube frames (Blokker), a towel and a hammer.  :)  You can make up the recipe yourself.

I have a machine in my fridge, but no way to keep it frozen

A strong blender will do the trick

Well, I think ice cubes will do job cooling job as good as the crushed ice. I will use two fridge boxes but I don't know if they will keep the beer cool all day.
