Title: monaco gp - need your help
Post by: Tyrem on May 02, 2014, 10:40:03 PM
i am standing in front of a more or less working monaco gp.
it needs a lot of restauration though. not in best condition but pretty much working with minor board issues.

what would you pay for this cab. i kind of like it but i have no idea what to offer since i never saw one for sale.

to my mind it should be around 300€ when working.

The miracle of the cab is the working PCB: 4 layers, no CPU.

So to my mind 300€ is a fair price.

Do you have Pictures?

it is working but it needs a lot of work. the board has a problem. the opponents seem messed up. they just appear for a fraction of a second and then they crash into your car.
cab has no original wheel, sidearts are damaged. needs new t-molding. i guess i would have to invest quite a lot and i don´t really know where to get the sidearts.

I was about to offer max. between 150 and 200. i think that´s fair for the both of us.

There's a lot of work to do there.  I think it is worth around £150 (180-200 Euros)

Thank you for your advice, guys. I am not that afraid of the work since i like doing that.
But I have to find the sidearts and the wheel. otherwise it would not make that much sense.

I will offer a max of 100 then. Does not hurt me and it might get a good new home. After all it is a cool game.

The PCB Repair is a Horror, and if it's not working you should only give 150€.

I think your offer from 100€ is fair in this case.

I agree, fixing that PCB set must be a nightmare...on the other hand, respect for not choosing the easy road :)
