Title: Crazy 3D idea.
Post by: vernimark on March 18, 2014, 02:11:20 PM
Anyone here is an expert in emulators?
I was just wondering if one of the VIRTUAL BOY emulators (http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/virtualboy/) could be modified in order to be shown on a 3D TV. Can you image the frst homebrew virtal boy 3D cabinet? Or simply to play it on home 3D TV ?

yes, but with a real 3D monitor inside. On my opinion it has no sense to build a cabinet if no one can stay close to you to say: don't do that, turn left, bleah my dog can play better, now you die...

Theoretically, yes, it could work, but definitely not practically. The TVs themselves cost thousands, and there are so few Virtual Boy games it wouldn't be worth it for that.

Kind of related:
There is a project where you can play Virtualboy on an Oculus rift:

Not sure if this is the one that i've tried some time ago, but it worked pretty well.
