Title: Repairing Dragon's Lair LaserDisc Player
Post by: StefT on November 12, 2008, 01:59:18 PM
Hello,

I have problems with my Pionneer LD-V1001 laser disc player. I don't see anything on my monitor. The monitor is ok because I plugued a standard dvd player on it and I could see the movie perfectly. When I plug the Pionneer on a TV the image is most of the time black and white the horizontal alignement is not right. Is there anybody who know how to fix-adjust this. I found the service manual, but I don'tknow what to look for.

Thank you for your help

Your best bet:

If you cannot find someone local to repair your LDV-1000 series... ( I did, back in 1995,  and mine is still running on an LDV-1000)

Go ahead and find one of those great conversion cards, like the High Tech Card that uses the more modern & reliabale Sony Lasermax player!   Last I checked they are available again from High Tech, and there are other makers too!

Myself, I got on of those cards and the sony player, for just in case!    ;D
