Title: Mario Bros. re-capped!
Post by: Muerto on January 29, 2014, 03:40:02 PM
Ever since I bought my Mario Bros. the picture had become very bad over the years, so I ordered a cap kit for the Sanyo 20EZ monitor..
This was the picture before the cabs was swapped...

This was my first cab kit repair ever, damn that was easy!

Lol! though it was a B*%¤h to get the chassis out!, had to take the entire monitor out of the cab! (the G07-CBx is easier to reach!...)

Awesome picture now! You gotta love them Sanyo/Nintendo monitors, very high quality + reliable hardware. :)

So ? dead easy, of course you have to get the entire monitor out :) ........Try Berzerk :)

I don't think the Sanyo (pre 20EZ) in my Radar Scope/Mario Bros. has ever been capped....and it still looks absolutely perfect :) I think I replaced one cap because of the famous "fold over" but that was it :)

You dont have to take the entire monitor out of my Missile Command, it has a G07-CB0 chassis, and all you have to do is unscrew to screws, and the chassis slides out..

Well, you want to give them a nice cleaning anyway...right ?  ;D

Honestly: I haven't taken the G07 out of my Berzerk because I read it's a PITA. I do have to do it because in winter (like now) when it is still cold it has a bend on the top (to the right). Once heated up it's just fine again, great picture still. I think the Sanyo and the Hantarexes have the best pictures of all of them though...
