Title: Superully's Christmas Present 2013
Post by: Superully on December 28, 2013, 06:50:57 PM

on december 24 i made myself one of the nicest presents i could think of. as you can imagine, it was kinda pricey, but considering its rarity, its condition AND the incredible fabulous amazing game it is, well worth the money!!!

now let's get this b**** over asap, thomas 8)

oh, one more thing: just a few days prior to that, i made myself ANOTHER (early) christmas present. in fact, it has been my collecting goal numero uno for 30 years now and i NEVER EVER thought i'd have the chance to own one. it's only semi arcade-related and i won't be revealing what it is until it has arrived safe and sound here at my place, but i'm still dancing around in joy because of it! stay tuned, guys ... ;D

what did you guys get for christmas?

wow, that is a great catch Ully. Congratulations.  :spaceace:

Can you tell us how you, or Thomas, are arranging transport from the seller to ... where? I also sometimes consider bidding on Ebay USA, but possible transport difficulties stopped me so far from actual taking an attempt.

I've used this company a couple of times:

http://www.precision-nal.com/

They are familiar with the do's and don'ts of arcade cab shipping, price to ship a game is approx $350.

Cheers, Marco

Wow....you say its even cheap for that model???

Is that a cabaret or...? I always thought Major Havoc uses the Tempest cabinet?

That's a dedicated Major Havoc. 300 were made before production halted and the game turned into a kit.

That explains the price......I would like to see more images of the entire cabinet....

not only that, often rare games go for insane prices (like the maneater that went for 11,000 bucks just recently) although they suck in gameplay, but major havoc is a completely different story. not only is it a unique rare cabinet, but the gameplay in itself is stellar, therefore the steep price! can't wait to have this over!!! probably the crown jewel of my collection  :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:

On the other hand, it would be na average price for a pinball machine.....so why not?

You seems to invest a lot of time, money and efford in your collection, are there some images present anywhere? :)

same here. i saw what went wrong there with all those cabs from c1. but how they dealt with the situation was even worse.
no business with them in the future.

They picked that one missing the monitor up for peanuts I think. I saw they found it in a warehouse on their facebook page yesterday.
