Have a Cook Race aka Hamburger (Burger Time clone) pcb with 3 missing chips, 2N, 5N, 6N.
I would really like to see this pcb running, but I don't know which chips should be there.
If anybody have the same pcb, please help me to identify. ;)

I have this, I think. I'll check it after dinner

Great, thanks. ;)
Please also check that the chip in L4 is "factory missing". :D
-
Robin should have a Hamburger PCB too, I gave a couple of PCBs to him as a "thank you" for fixing my Q*bert PCB :)

This is on mine
2N = MB74LS00 8221 M99
5N= MB74LS245 8228 M60
6N= MB74LS245 8228 M60
L4 = missing
I didn't test mine yet, must make an adapter so I can play it on my nearly finished vertical cab

Anyone who needs to get a 74LS00 from a board is a lousy technician ;);)

Don't forget, that I live in Hungary, anything can happen here. :D

Sorry for bothering you with this again Patrick, I found another missing ic, it is on the lower board position H9. :oops:
Thanks. ;)

Exactly what do you mean by this?
-
I guess its an inside joke hence the smilies
dont worry, i dont get it either :)
-
Well the 74LS00 is the first (00) element of the 74 series of chips (it contains 4 NAND ports) and should be in "every" technicians standard stock.... ;D

No problem Bela ;)

My pleasure to help you :spaceace:
I played this in MAME yesterday to check it out, is an exact clone of Burgertime 8)

When I received this board and saw the missing chips, I threw it to the box as marked "for parts", but my seventh sense told me, that I have to give it a last chance. :D
I had some time to install the chips in sockets and make a jamma adapter yesterday.

Fired it up

Yeah, image is ok. ;D
Tried to put some credits in it, but nothing happened. :-\
Followed the traces and checked everything again, same result.
I double checked the pinout chart and realized, that there is no P1 start pin indicated in it and there is a pin called "unknown".
Soldered the credit wire to "unknown" and P1 start to Cion 1 and gave it another try.

Everything works fine including sound and controls. ;D
Seems like the pinout chart is incorrect in all arcade websites, if anybody wants to make an adapter, this is the correct one:
PARTS SOLDER
gnd B1 A1 gnd
1p right B2 A2 2p right
1p left B3 A3 2p left
1p up B4 A4 2p up
1p down B5 A5 2p down
1p fire B6 A6 2p fire
- B7 A7 -
P1 start B8 A8 P2 start
- B9 A9 -
coin1 B10 A10 coin2
speaker + B11 A11 speaker -
- B12 A12 -
minus 5v B13 A13 minus 5v
plus 12v B14 A14 plus 12v
plus 5v B15 A15 plus 5v
plus 5v B16 A16 plus 5v
gnd B17 A17 gnd
gnd B18 A18 gnd
Thanks for everybody who helped me to bring back life this great game. :spaceace:

Learned most of my skills from this board. ;)

Thanks for posting the info on the pinout for this PCB, as it helps me with a PCB I need to look at
Does anything need to be connected to the second edge connector on the lower board?
