Title: SuperBug restoration - DONE
Post by: vernimark on September 05, 2013, 03:13:09 PM
Hi all,
Considering I spend my working days in Bologna and the Week End in Milano, I can restore two cabs in the same time :)
So Bologna is dedicated to ZACs and CINEs while in Milano I have all other cabs.

Here some pics of SuperBug as I found it

Nice cab and a great game! :)

Is this a fullsize upright cab?  ???

Yes. It seems short because is quite deep but if you look at the tempest on the right you can see there is not so much difference...

Yes, me too, 'cause they are all at my place now  ;D
Seriously I don't have the 4 cabs any more but I still have some spare parts if you need anything.

WOW
it should be nice to have a good monitor plexi....
and, only if in very good conditions, a CP
but mainly a plexi :)

Huh, did you buy them all secretely ??
Title: Re: SuperBug restoration
Post by: Q*ris on September 06, 2013, 11:24:05 AM
Not secretly at all but a long time ago, that's probably why you don't remember.
Erik called for me, I brought back cabs for speleo_de and love and you even brought me back the SB control panel (that Andreas had fixed) at the first eurocade meeting we had in B&G. Does that ring a bell now?  ;)

@ Vernimark: the plexis and CPs are not in awesome condition but I'll shoot some pictures for you if you're interested.

OK, no problem.
I still have some other parts so if you see something too damaged or missing during your resto, just ask :)

No idea why, but I just got a Longing feeling for this..

I don't know man.....watching that and listening to his voice gets me all relaxed again. I highly suggest the Eurocade organization team to have a look. 5 minutes of this and all pre RGE stress flows away.....just like so....and make it happen, believe in what you can do.......there.......

 ;D ;D

Thank you for mentioning the novus products! Just googled it, I got exactly the same problem (cigarette burns) on my walls down (Breakout clone) cab, Definitely worth a try after seeing your amazing results, thought it was doomed!

...you are welcome.
NOVUS is great for plexi. Remember that all 3 are necessary even if I use more often 1 & 2 only

inside everything seems to be ok
Title: Re: SuperBug restoration

Ok, let's go with the CP.
these are the original conditions
Title: Re: SuperBug restoration
Post by: vernimark on September 30, 2013, 04:38:50 PM
1) I covered entire CP with a transparent film
2) I removed the film in correspondence of black parts
3) I removed most of the rust (depends on the paint you use. I use a paint can be sprayed on the rust)
4) I sprayed with glossy black all CP

Post by: vernimark on September 30, 2013, 04:41:36 PM
Then I removed the painted transparent film over the other colours.

I'm not sure I'm satisfied of the result... if you look closely the panel you can see what I did.
