If you read the link that Laschek pointed to it contains one good tip:
Nolan Bushnell said they stopped the production because "the barrels came apart". And that is what barrels do if you don't keep them filled with a liquid....they will collapse. Unless you take some precautions I guess, no idea what can be done about it though.

Yeah, I'm sure the electronics will love it.
However, I remember seeing a television operating in a tank full of water on TV in the 70's or 80's. It was of course de-mineralized water and hence the water was non-conductive.
Still I don't think it would last long....the first problems would have probably arisen with the HV-cup....or they cheated and sealed that :)
