Hey guys!
You did a great job helping me with all my newbie-question over the past few month. Thank you so much for that.
I did try to polish the plexi on my Phoenix during the last days. Turned out okay if you ask me though there is still a hell of a lot of room for improvement. I am learning every day and it is great fun for me. :)
This is what the plexi looked when it arrived here:

This is what it looks now after I did what you guys told me:

Not as new... but it looks good on this old cab. Some scratches are welcome here.
Thank you again for helping me out!
Greetings from Trier!

ok guys... it is pretty easy. just have no fear. ;)
first i sanded the plexi. i used 400 sandpaper and i started with my hands. shitty idea. ;)
it would work but it takes far too much time and skin from your fingers.
i decited to get me a "schwingschleifer":

with this baby things are so much easier. i also noticed that you could use 280 sandpaper instead of the 400er in the first step. i sanded everything try by the way. no water or other liquids.
after i finished the first sanding i startet with the 400, then the 600, 1000 and 2000 for the finish. i guess you could polish in between every single step but i did not do so. after the 2000er sanding i took l lot of Xerapol.

followed by some PlastX:

The problem with polishing by hand is that it takes ages... just like the sanding. So I got myself this device:

Pretty big but it works. The result could have been nearly perfect if i would have taken more time here and then. 5 minutes of more sanding for each paper, 10 more minutes with the polishing machine... i guess that would have left me with a nearly perfekt result. But as i told you guys... Phoenix is an old machine and this baby can have some little scratches here and there.
Oh yeah... I also sanded the metal parts, grounded them and painted them black. but you guys know how to do that for sure. ;)
greetings from trier!
