Hi to all of you,
As always a short presentation:
My name is Alex and i live near Melk in Lower Austria.
I`m 44 years old, married and have one son with 13 years - he is also a big (little) Arcade Fan - like father, like son :-)
I`m an Arcade Fan since i was a Teen and about 4 years ago i bought my first Arcade-Cab - an Asteroids Cocktail Table - love this game.
In the meantime i have a few more cabs and really a storage problem :)
Here are a few pics from my gaming room - it isn`t ready - but you can play - this is the main thing.

oh, and don't forget to turn the pictures - or are some of your cabinets lying on their sides?
-
Hi Alex, nice classics you have there and Melk is also beautiful.
I also like the Centuri Vanguard, quite rare in Europe. :spaceace:
-
Welcome to the other side of the world, Alex. :)
Love the carpet! :-*
Enjoy the place!
-
Hi Alex,
Welcome, nice collection.
-
Where's my posting? I posted right after Etienne ???
Nevertheless...ein "Herzlich Willkommen" nach Österreich! :)
Nice cabs you have there. I would love to have a Sprint-Cab in the future :-* Must be great fun to play with one or even two other players.
-
here are some other pics from my cabs - most of them stands in the cellar but our garage is also full of Arcades - no room for cars inside
(my wife was a little bit angry on the beginning but now she is getting used to this situation ;D )
I have also leased storage room near our home - pics from that location coming soon.
In the moment i`m working on 5-6 Cabs simultaneously - Salamander (Konami) - an undervalued but great game in my opinion - for two players simultaneously - FUN guaranteed, also Asteroids, Jungle Hunt, A.P.B. WITH seat (Thanks Ully) and Space Invaders.
-
Ully - now i have reversed the Star Wars Trilogy  it`s better to play

wow!! nice cabs! That Break Out looks mint!!!
-
Yes, the Super Breakout is in mint condition
I have bought a few cabs in the States (DK jr., Vanguard also Crystal Castle Cocktail, Space Zap Cocktail) btw. the Crystal Castles and Space Zap would be for sale.
most of the Cabs are from Germany, a few from Austria (f.e. Sheriff from Vienna - this was one of my best catches :P ), Switzerland, England,....
unfortunately no Cab from Italy.....i think Italy is one of the strongholds of Arcade, isn`t it ?
And now a few pics ONLY for Ully ;D
-
I guess you will sell that space zap in no time if you put up some good pictures..

i hate them because most of them are extremely ugly (except for crystal castles, warlords and perhaps joust), most of them are uncomfortable to play and they use up more space than a normal upright cab!
-
;D
I agree to all your arguments. Joust rocks as a cocktail though and I think a game like Space Zap is very well suited for a cocktail.
Atari had some pretty nice cocktails, Asteroids is pretty good looking and if the Centipede 25" cocktails (the one on the flyers) was ever made, those looked great as well.
Still....space will always be a problem. Still very glad other people do collect them though they're very welcome at Eurocade. They are smaller to transport and when set-up correctly really add something.
-
Better late than never a welcome from me to.
You have a very nice collection :)
