Finally with the help of Chris and EADS. I received a few Zacc stuff from Brussels yesterday. :D

It was packed super safe, I spent about 20- 30 minutes until I discovered what was inside. :D
A very nice and rare Zacc Eyes pcb with metal plate

I thought it was originally made under Rockola licence, but seems like the copyright holder is Techstar.

 Let's test it

After 30 years it works like a charm. :D
I made a quick comparison with the Rockola version, it is almost identical except of that daughtercard.

Starting screens have the matching manufacturer

A few weeks back, I bought another semi working Zacc Eyes pcb from a hungarian friend and just for curiosity I compared the handwriting on the eproms.

Seems like the same guy made these pcbs at the Zacc factory 30 years ago. :D

The other pcb was a Money Money (forgot to take a pic), it has a dissorted screen and out of sync, at least I could stop scrolling a bit with the monitor pots.Any advise on this would be appreciated.

The 3rd item is a nice Galaxia bezel, the only thing I need is a complete cab for this glass. ;D

 Thank you Chris! :spaceace:

Wow, great stuff man.  :) Congratulations with those nice finds.

				Great catch Bela!
Though, it look like you have used the same picture twice, when you compare the stickers on the ram, #3 has the exact same bubbles on both pictures...

Yeah, realized it already and fixed, thanks. ;)

Cool! I haven't checked my Eyes yet to see if that has a Zac PCB in it but I hope it does ;)

Re: Money Money - I had a similar issue with my game Jackrabbit PCB (bad sync). It was a fault in the video counters. I'll see if I kept notes on it. Do you have an oscilloscope?

 Paul.

-
Alas, I didn't keep notes, but I know the sync was bad and I had no pulses on IC 4N (LS161) pin 15 (4N was bad).

The video counters are 3N,4N,3L,4L. The outputs from which are used to make the composite sync signal through a few misc gates (5K, 5J, 5M). With a scope is easy to see the counter outputs working as they should (the 2H to 256H and 1V to 128V marked signals on the schematics).

 Paul.

Thanks Paul, unfortunately I don't have an oscilloscope and I don't know how to use it, but will inspect those chips asap and I also have a working pcb for comparison.
Please inform me, if you don't have the original pcb in your Eyes cab. ;)

Thanks for the report and so cool that you received everything in one piece!
The minute I picked up these items in the operator's workshop, I knew your name was written on it  ;)
I love the handwriting comparison on the eproms, that's just awesome.

I picked up a few other PCBs from the same place, stored with no real caution in an unheated barn and much to my surprise at least half of them seem to be working.
I took a gamble when I bought them untested but in the end it turns out it was a good "investment", at least I could help you add some gems to the Zacc museum.
I hope you'll get the Money to work, at least it's showing good signs of life.
