It could still have Princess Leia, it's going to be based after ROTJ. Dunno if you'd wanna see her in the slave outfit these days though...

+1, you shouldn't expect too much from these financial actions, the last 3 episodes totally sucked. :D
-
now Princess Leia is a Disney princess :D
-
Ah yes, Lucas and Disney, the great partnership that brought us Captain EO and Star Tours. What could go wrong?
-
Im looking forward to the movie(s)!!! :spaceace:
- let the saga continue :spaceace:

At last we will see more Star Wars *new* stuff in theater! I mean new movies, not cartoons!!!
I don't believe in Lucas anymore, let's give a chance to younger directors, that may give a new face to the story!
Can't wait to see new movies in the best 'space fairytale' universe! :-* :-* :-*
I would see a new trilogy taking place between the episode 3 and 4... the actors are still available for that! I wanna see side story about Jabba, Bobba Fett, stories inside Cloud City, the Emperor, Vader (with more than 3 minutes per movie please) :-* :-* :-* But please, nothing after the episode 6... there's nothing more to tell! Or no parallel universe too!
...In fact I'm quite happy of that! :)

I am not expecting very much of it...
already they are pronouncing that they will be eyeing to drop a movie every two years. That means, working hard, time schedules, no focus on the quality, only on the deadline. Classic movies, like the Star Wars saga are not pooped out on a regular basis, like it's some kind of recipe, of 2 years pushing hard. I think Disney is milking the cow, and allows Lucas to sit back and earn the money
-
Yeah....the first changes are already made:

Maybe it will be good for the saga to get a new director, I'm sure he grew up with it and might be able to catch the magic of the first 3 episodes....but that's probably wishful thinking.
-
Director : Danny Boyle... Peter Jackson ... or even Tarantino!? ;D That would be just awesome! But I doubt Disney will go so far of course... Wait & See...
-
I think any director with a "big" reputation will think twice about touching SW......it seems they can only loose....
I never really understood that the prequels were so highly criticized. I mean, yeah they weren't exactly masterpieces, but neither were the originals. SW is a fun roller coaster without much depth....get in, switch of reason and enjoy the ride :)
Told my son about the new film coming and he would rather go see a new SW movie than anything else for sure...

three words: jar ja binks! enough said!!!

Come on, he is SOOOOOOO funny.........

I think you are overlooking the point that the originals were kind of groundbreaking in being big SF movies, which created a cult following and the accompanying (western) worldwide merchandise which helped boosting the iconic nature of the different characters in the movie. I think nothing like that had happened before when Star Wars came out. The impact on popular culture was pretty huge so to say, which stands aside of the depth of the storyline. I think still today, the image of Darth Vader, besides Hitler, is pictured as being pure evil, according to several polls.
BTW: Even a large anti USSR project I came up with during the eighties, was named after this movie ;)

here you go, the future:

hm, why not wait until it's out and complain then? ;)
I have a bad feeling about that, too but we will see. What I have read is that Disney wants to get in contact with the SW fanbase to write a story. I only hope there won#t be other annoying JarJars ::)
I could imagine a story with Luke, Leia and Han Solo with their original actors, but - let's say - 30 years later/older. That would be great for me :)

Mark Hamill is in the first hungarian sci-fi movie called Thelomeris, It was written and directed by a brilliant hungarian director Balazs Hatvani and on top of all, he is also an arcade collector. :D
Luke does not look too bad imho, you can see him here:

The movie will be released in 2013, teaser here, it is something like dark city:

Lance Henriksen and Christopher Lloyd (our good old doc Emmet Brown) are also in the cast. :D

It remains a mystery to me why his carreer practicly ended after Star Wars.
