First off, great forum!
My name is Chris Blok aka Jinxz from Holland and i run www.Shadaloo.eu since 2009.
I actually have a tight bond with Dragonslair ;)
My brother and I were fully into the C64 / A500 scene and one day my bro came up with the idea to purchase a Laserdisc player with Dragonslair. At that time, for as far as we knew, the nearest place to buy it was in Mannheim, Germany. So one morning we decided to ask our mum to drive us there and so we did. We got horribly lost in Mannheim and actually came to the store about 5 minutes before closing time. Needless to say we were happy as hell to find that they were open and had both the player and dragonslair in stock.
Back home we hooked it up to the Amiga500 and played for weeks/months with friends and family.
That's my Dragon's Lair history ;)
Nowadays i run www.Shadaloo.eu and sell arcade parts, custom made shirts and hoodies and build custom arcadesticks for some amazing clients. They go to top ranked players and collectors but i've also worked with companies like Capcom, Warner Bros and Madcatz to name some.
Thanks for reading and if i can be of any help, let me know. Either through a PM or an email to info(at)shadaloo.eu

Wow! Owning the LD kit for Amiga at the time must be an awesome gamer trip!
I was crazy when I saw the Dragon's Lair demo for Amiga for the very first time! And it was 'only' the floppy disk version! I didn't know a LD version was made at the time! You were very lucky to own it! :o
Welcome to DLF' Chris! :)

Thanks!
Yeah the Amiga version was a method of controlling the Laserdisc player by use of a cable. It connected the parallel (or serial?) port of the Amiga to the Remote-input of the player. Pretty engenious ;)

Welcome!
I owned (and still does) Amigas sience 1990, and have only seen the floppy version - how could you miss it? It was 8 floppy discs!!!, any chance you have a picture of it??

The funny thing is that f.i. Mad Dog McCree arcade cabs were run with Amiga's and Atari built them for the European market :)
oh and Welkom !

I wish i had pictures of it. Today i was cleaning up the garage and actually found my old LD player. It wasn't the same as the one we played Dragon's Lair on but i was amazed to find it ;)
Maybe the original player and DL is still at my parents home... i'll ask tomorrow if it's still there.
