Remember the place I found a Night Driver for Ully and a Zaccaria cockpit for PaulSwan ?
Was time for another visit. Nothing really classic or stuff I would sell any of my current games for but if I had more room I would have bought two machines from him.
Anyway, I just made a number of pics to show what he has got and how it looks like.
Sorry for the crappy mobile phone pics, all I had with me...
Fighting Vipers....never heard of, must be a SF/KI kind of game I suppose....

This was nice too. Road Riot double machine in fully working order. Both monitors looked very good indeed. I test played both sides. This is a nice compact dual racer for those who don't have room for a large sit spdown dual. Cosmetically in nice shape but some traces of use here and there of course.

Bart, that Propcycle has your name on it, I know you love big machines :):)
Everything is for sale of course !

Thanks André for sharing ;)
Do you have the prices for the sci and fighting vipers?
Weird you don't know pit fighter, it's a Atari games if I remember well (street fighting ,with digitalize characters)
-
Heh....I thought it was common knowledge by not that I lost 95% of my interest in arcade gaming after a certain LD game was released....and then the side-scrollers came. All the same to me....punching kicking and moving from left to right...how original. Then the fighters came like SF, KI, whatever......of course there are exceptions like Out Run, Power Drift and some other games. Some great games I indeed miss because of this...only to discover them now...
also...I am very old....There's a generation difference with guys who grew up with the first BW games and first color games and the one's who grew up with the fighters...
Oh, and one of the crazy exceptions: I actually like Soul Calibur. Never played it BITD but it was one of the titles to try on my DC (which I got as a retro gaming system so very late too).
Anyway, that's the reason I don't know about Pit Fighter. :)
I'll give him a ring and ask for the price of the SCI and Fighting Vipers (that last one most be pretty rare I think ?)
-
Hi Andre,
Nice stuff he has there!
Can you ask for the price of the White Water pinball machine too, if you ring him?
Thanks.
-
Thanks for the pictures, too bad most of the games suck! ;) and I think pit fighter is so bad that it becomes kinda cool again. The bike game is great though, played that one in Japan an really enjoyed it. Hope Bart will get it. What about the pinball prices? Are those high?
-
nice pics
pitfighter is kinda of a classic, one of the first to use that photo technique in fighting games I guess? pre-Mortal Kombat

Lots of stuff there, i like some pins, but i am not really a pin guy

Haha lol
Seen the game before on the net its weird and big, two reasons to like it
But its not that old so I think its not cheap and at the moment not that much money to spent.
Just curious can you ask the prices for prop cycle and police 24/7 maybe I can find a sponsor

André, this is a regular shop, is it not?
What's the name of the shop and where are they located? I want to call them and ask them about the diner stuff. And maybe they have some sort of website.
Edit, never mind, googled it, it must be jukeboxshop in Vlaardingen. And iI saw on their website tbat tgey have another location which is in fact not far from where I live. Hm, time for a visit. :)
-
Taking a look at this again, at the current time I can't be involved in any deals that may be made - so you'll have to count me out :'( sorry.

No problem Oll. Sorry guys, haven't contacted the seller yet as I was on holiday in Germany and Italy the last 1.5 weeks or so...

I'll ask tomorrow.
If you do go find out the price of that old Williams Space Station pinball. I'd be interested to know how much but really can't promise anything at all.
-
Hi folks,
two weeks ago I was picking up an Atari jukebox nearby Rotterdam - and with the help of my dutch friends - we discovered this shop, too.
By this time I didn't know the thread over here.
We came into the storage...waited for about 30 minutes until a guy approached us if we have any questions. Well - we looked at all the arcades, pinball machines and jukeboxes and asked for functionality and prices.
That guy didn't had an idea so we needed to wait another 30 minutes until another guy - seems to be the boss - arrived.
He gave us some information on the machines and told us some prices, e.g. for a Atari Pinball machine divided into parts standing in the corner (he said it was in working condition).
I agreed to him to send me over prices and a few words concerning condition per e-mail and I said I will come back with a transporter in 2 weeks to maybe pick up something (we had the jukebox within my car - so no space left).
Took him 2 weeks to gave me prices and 3 words each machine about condition.
I agreed with him on buying three machines.
He then replied - ok I put these aside for you waiting for your return - which I promised will be within 7 days. Needed to pick up a larger transporter.
Well then - I dropped him an mail, the day I and my friend are coming with the transporter and he said ok, he will be there.
Took me 4 hours to go there and now hear what happened.
First of all as we arrived, we looked at the machines. None of these have been pulled aside, in fact they were at the same places but one was missing.
first machine -the pinball.
He pulled it out of the corner. moving 5 other machines aside and was looking for a plug in device.
We checked the pinball - it didn't say a sound or anything and was obviously dead.
My friend who has a deep knowledge when it comes to Atari machines and in special pinball machines told me that the board was missing a few parts and of course it was likely to see someone already tried to fix it. The playfield was also missing minor components.
I asked for the price he gave me - and of course for a discount due to its non working condition.
He refused to give a discount and said he could easily repair it and sell for more.
Hey - didn't we agree on a working unit? wtf.
(btw my friend told me even if he does it it will take him half a year to repair it, but the guy said he could do it for 150 - not in this world I bet!)
Anyway - machine number two.
A sega mega tech unit - in non working condition as he already told me.
But look - where has it gone?
"Dunno - it should be here".
Well it was obvious that he sold it to someone else during the last week - hence where in hell should it gone in the warehouse?
I searched the warehouse 3 times - it was gone.
So - I was getting very upset and my friend, too. Up for the 3rd machine: The Battle Shark.
In his e-mail he quoted "condition unknown".
From my experience the day I should have known better, but I trusted him and didn't know his dealer attitude two weeks ago - well it turned out that it was missing parts and therefore unable to repair at all.
What the hell I came here for?
I suggest you don't do business with him - it's not worth a visit. Andre pointed me to this thread, from my pictures you will see that most of the machines are still there.
No wonder if these are in that condition and the day I have been there he was very very unfriendly, didn't looked at us, always singing and smoking.
I came with a large transporter and a lot of money, three times the sum we agreed on before, ready to pick up another jukebox and maybe 2 more machines.
He could have made a nice profit the day and making me a returning and satisfied customer.
Took me 8 hours drive, 400 km each route, 200 Euros for the transporter and another 150 Euros for gas.
It could have been a steal for me finding the pinball and a few arcades - but in the end it turned out he stole my time and money for nothing.
At least it was a nice roadtrip with my dutch friend and the landscape of the Netherlands was also fine - but I needed to wait two weeks to let you know. Still upset about this AsshXXX.
Pics - everything is still there from Andres pics. Beside the Namco machine. It was broken and he sold it obviously on my return (I assume that guy also took the Mega Tech).
Most of his machines are broken and missing parts. The pinball prices he is asking are crackbrained hence most of these are not working and missing whole playfields or important parts.
I would say its a warehouse full of trash - when it comes to his jukeboxes, arcades and pinball machines. The 70s furniture is fine btw. not more.

I remember when i first saw Pit Fighter in the arcade i was used to frequent: i didn't like the game at all.
BUT, when Atari released the genesis version me and my bro where not able to stop playing it! Maybe the "two player makes it better" effect was prevailing there :D
PS: the cabinet is the same they used for bad lands (not the control panel, obviously)

I love those little red cabs. What are they, just generic Jamma jobs? Who made them?

it sounds lilke "the ambassador" movie... much "con" attitude from your

in france these 20" red cabs are called "kendo" or somewhat other generic terms.
