Where's the best place to get a set of the very small screws that hold the microswitches in place inside the Yoke controller ? i assume they won't be metric size with them being 'old' so to speak.....

 Russ... ;D

Ooo....I didn't have to replace them on mine but I got all the other small screws from www.modelfixings.co.uk
Very fair prices (esp. on shipping) very helpful guy, I had several e-mails going between us. He even found a certain sized bolt that wasn't on his site for me.

If you really can't figure it out you can send him a sample so he can id it.

 Highly recommended.

This is what you need according to the SW manual:

 #2-56 X 3/8-Inch Cross-Recessed Pan-Head Machine Screw
-
Mmmm, doesn't look like they have UNC (=Imperial) sized normal screws. Send him an e-mail and ask....

Alternatively you may be able to use these instead :

Look under UNC Socket Cap Screws.

 2-56   3/8   9.53   3/8   9.53       5   MF-SC223    £0.85
 25   MF-SC223/25    £3.50

You'll need the required tool to mount it though, he sells good and cheap sets too but do check if the correct size is in the set...

cheers for that matey, tbh not all the screws were there (8 in total for both sets of switches on both 'grips) i had only 1 screw holding each switch in place and 1 of them snapped whilst trying to unscrew it  :'( but i would like to replace the missing screws

I assumed they'd be imperial threads with them being the age that they are.Its not that i can buy metric ones as the thread in the Yoke itself is obviously Imperial as well
