Pac-land and Professor Pac-man!!
Hooray, soon I will have all the Pacman cabs (need a Super Pacman, Pacmania and Pacman Jr. I'll see what I can do about Pacman Plus and Pac-n-Pal).
I must now try to find the VR Pac-man 3D game too!
Pics when I get the machines (being shipped from Florida).

Looks like you will have your own Pac Land!!! :pac: :ghost:
Looking foward to the pix!!!!!

I'm very excited about these as well! The Professor Pacman has been my "holy grail" game for a long time because of its rarity. Most people hate that game but I actually like it (I love puzzle games).
I never intended to collect Pacman games, it just sort of started happening (I guess it will be a "Pac land!" Barry!). I currently have:
Pac-man
Ms. Pac-man
Baby Pac-man
Mr. & Mrs. Pac-man pinball
With the addition of these two latest ones I will have six out of 9 dedicated Pacman cabinets (Pac-man Plus was an add-on/conversion to regular Pacman, Pac-n-Pal was a Super Pac-man add-on. Just Pacmania, Super Pac-man and Pac-man Jr have dedicated cabs that I need to find).
Here's a pic of the Pac-land that I bought from the seller:

I can't wait to get them!

Awesome stuff Alex ;D
Post more pics when you receive them
(some current pics would be good too)

Well, it looks like there will only be a Pacland. The seller told me that the Prof Pacman is severely water damaged and can probably not be restored. He will send me whatever parts are salvageable from it. I really would like to have the control panel, marquee and bezel. Everything else can be reproduced. The cabinet is the same as the Pacland so I may be able to build a replacement cabinet. We'll see... I'm a little bummed about this, but oh well, it's not the end of the world that;s for sure!
I found a guy on KLOV in Texas who has a Journey machine! I would love to buy that machine! It's another one of my "grail" machines!
Barry, maybe this guy is near you (in Ovilla, TX). I don't know where that is.
Check it out here:

It looks very very nice :-*
Too bad for the Prof Pacman... :-\ Did he send you some pictures of it ? Maybe it's not as bad as he says ::) :P
Let's cross the fingers for you regarding the Journey cab :)

Hi guys,
The Pac-land finally made it to my house yesterday morning!
My other road trip yielded a great condition Mappy game. I also scored a Tron game from ebay (the seller delivered it to me yesterday).
I try to post some pics tonight or tomorrow.
My home-made Pac-man is just about complete too. I'll post pics of that and the mini Dragon's Lair I built too.

Here's what the moving guys brought for me on Tuesday morning:
I quickly bring it inside my garage and remove the cardboard (it's going to rain soon):
Pretty good condition Pac-land! One side is missing art but it's ok, I knew that already.

I'll have to work on it later. Tuesday afternoon Kevin, the seller, brings me this puppy:
Works ok but needs a lot of cosmetic work!
Here is the Mappy I got a few weeks ago (looks great except for the front of the CPO where it is cracking):
A big problem here when I turn it on, it doesn't work!! I will need to work on this later too!
Here's the big project I have been working on. My home made Pac-man. I built everything myself (except for the bezel glass, that's from a real Pac-man)! I did the artwork printing myself too:
The CPO got trashed (I printed it over a year ago and the humidity made it peel away):
But it still works!!
Running AdvanceMame for linux booting from a USB thumb drive!
I have to re-do the CPO, mount the speakers and motherboard, restore and attach the coin door and attach the back door. Otherwise it's good to go!
I have an LCD monitor in it but I may switch to a 19" CRT.

Here's the project that brought me here to Bruno's website in the first place, my mini Dragons Lair!
The speaker panel and plexi broke on me so I have to build some new ones, otherwise it's almost done!:
This machine is only four feet tall, I built everything myself on this (even made a little metal control panel from scratch). I wish I would have put in a coin door, but oh well it was my first attempt ever at building one.

Here's a comparison photo of the mini-DL CP with my home-made Pac-man CP:
Compared in size to a real DL:

My self printed mini side art:

I'll try to post some more pics if you guys want. Let me know what you think!
Thanks again for all your help, you are a great group of guys!

The mini DL looks excellent.

Thanks Ghost Soldier!
-
Woow, the Pac-Land looks gorgeous :-* :-* :-*
Hey, I didn't know about the Home made Pac-man you've done, congratulation 8)
... of course, Tron or Mappy are real 'classics' to own, congratulation !
...and about the Mini Dragon's Lair : WOOOOOOOWWW !!! So great... not finished yet (no plexi/speakers/score board) ?
'Wanna know more of course :P :-* :spaceace:
-
Really nice job ! 8)
What did you use to print your DL side arts ?
-
I have been quite busy with work so have not had a chance to finish up the cabs. Hopefully this weekend!
All the artwork I have is printed on self-adhesive vinyl on a 44" wide HP Z3100 printer.
It comes out looking great!
-
Awesome job on the mini DL!!!
-
Thanks Barry! Once I finish this one I am going to start building another one for Mike (one of the other forum members who lives near me). I will also be doing a mini SA dedicated and a mini DL2.
The mini-DL should be done this weekend. I am working on a daphne config that will run from a Linux bootable USB thumb drive (I am a real fan now of these little thumb drives!).
Talk to you soon,
Alex
