Hey all,
In the middle of the Atari System 1 build I came across a LAI Cobra Command (LAI was the Australian distributor for most games in the 80's)
Doesn't have the LD or player or boards, but that's OK as I'll run Daphne on it. I'm planning on collecting it this week ;D
Here is a picture of it:

I'll remove the scoreboard plexi and I might re-paint it all black like the original.
Once I get it I'll clean it up and post up some more pictures :)
So, that makes this my 4th LD cab 8) WooHoo Space Ace, dragon's Lair, Interstellar and now Cobra Command :D
And now I have the plans, perhaps a DLII or SA91 might find their way into my arcade

Hi Dexter,
That's a great find! Congratulations. Is that in a dedicated Space Ace Cabinet?
Take more pics if you don't mind!

Thanks Alex,
It's in a dedicated Dragon's Lair cabinet (Australian version) and as soon as I have it there will be more pics ;)

Wow... it will be an impressive LD Cab collection :-*
I never had the chance to play Cobra Command in the past. Good luck for this project Dexter :)

Good Luck on your game project!!! ;D I've never got to play this game! :'( (it never came to our arcade)
-
Thanks guys :)
I can't believe that you guys never got to play it in the arcades (it's a great game too, well I think so)
You've played it via Daphne yeah ? if not then you should.
I really want to build a Cliff Hanger cab but I can't find any plans anywhere :(
Well I hope to have this cab at home by friday ;D
More pics then

I wanted to build a Cliff Hanger too. A fellow forum member (Mike from Long Island) lives less than 15 miles away from me and he had one. He sold it before I got a chance to go take measurements of it. In fact I have never gotten a chance to meet Mike yet, only through email!
Good luck with the build. I will try Cobra Command on my Daphne setup.

The cab looks like it's in primo condition. Congrats on this find!
Where can I get a copy of the "restored" Cliff Hanger video? Mine are pretty bad (the standard ones floating around the internet).

YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Great to see it in working order :D

Thanks guys,
I must say I am quite happy it was 'easy' to get it running. I just need a new control stick, I'll get a Happ one and see how good they are.
I also need to wire up the marquee light and move into my current 'small' arcade.

You are a lucky man, I love Cobra Command but its as tuff as nails to play and your cab is great condition too!
What your next machine Firefox???

After a couple of hours I managed to beat Cobra Command ;D Something I have not been able to do since 1986 (keep running out of lives on the 10th level) but with the flight stick seems to make it easier
What next ? Well after I get Peter Pack Rat and Marble Madness running, I'll continue to look for parts for my Interstellar then I'll work on Rolling Thunder and Out Run.
Cobra Command was not something I was really looking for, I do love the game and wanted one, but never thought I'd get one here in Oz so I guess I am lucky.
Oh, I just remembered, I am still looking at a Cliff Hanger (something I've wanted for years) and if it turns out to be a dedicated one (pink/blue) I'll be over the moon 8)
