Super nice video, I enjoyed it a lot.

Man, like Sonic 1992, I wanna do another road-trip. Last one is 3 month ago, picking up 3 *cough* pinball-machines. 3 more month to wait till my brother and I can even make a start with his games-basement.

Enough about me, Bruno, I know of a guy in the south of the Netherlands sitting on 107 (!) sit-down-race cabs (yes, that's one big warehouse he's got there). I promissed to alert you if I saw something that even resembled an Out Run PCB of some sorts. On the photo's the cabs look really good.

Please drop me a mail since I seeem to have lost your e-mail adress, when switching to a new PC a few weeks back. Sorry for being off-topic.

Yop, don't forget to post few pictures  ::) ;)

I agree with you... Doing a roadtrip is great, I mean it gives something special on the cabinet itself... that make it more *special* and it adds a story on it. Hours & km on the road don't matter... Fun & 'ArcadeLifeStyle'... all the way  :P ;D

Who'll do the next roadtrip here ?  ;) 8)

:)
I don't want to give myself bad luck by posting ahead of time (look at what happened with that Professor Pacman I thought I was getting!).
When the games are in my house I'll post all the pics.
The only clue I will give is that they are pretty big games (not as big as the Galaxian Theatre though!!).

Hey Bruno WHERE THAT R360 IS???????????
I WANT ONE :)
Make a deal for me ;)

It was in 2005... it was the last time I've seen this beautiful R360 (and of course played it)  :'(

It was in London, at the trocadero in the funland arcade :

It's a great game... it is in the 'must have list' of many crazy collectors  :P ;)

I have no clue about a R360 to sell yet  :'(

So we both played the same game :) The only R360 I ever seen was at the Trocadero ;)
The first time I've  "tested" it was in the 1997 or 1998.
As for the Daytona I'm fine with the 4 players version too ;) Lol!!!

See ya Bruno

Waahahahaha, amazing they kept it that long !!

I played that very machine too. It's a miracle it is (was) still working after I played it :P

I guess it was around 98 for me too.

...and back from hell!  ;D

For some reasons, the specific yoke overlay for that game is not available! Tried many shops at the time but no luck! (it was on TOG in the section 'future product' looong time agon... but finally didn't happened as far as I now?!)
But I badly need it, see how the yoke on my cabinet looks like

Yeah... a lame black sticker has been applied on it!

Well, I still had the hope that one day the 'jedi' overlay will be available.
Fortunately, Atarimania found years ago a NOS! He scanned it, and Etienne vectorized it!
I totally forgot that story ... until Etienne gave me a gift during the last Eurocade meeting  :-*

After cutting one, here's how it looks once applied  :)

Well, I was a little bit lazy on this... I didn't remove the back adhesive already in place, and because the print provided by Etienne was printed on a 'not as thick as the original', you can spot few micro bubbles, and it's a little bit shiny, but guys, it's really anodyne!  8)

Anyway, who cares? Here's the game room in 'play mode'... too dark too see...  ;D

I'm joking! It looks really great now! :-*

Me happy... and got some motivation to play this game again!  ;D :spaceace:

Nice !

I know its just printed on standard vinyl, but at least untill there is a print on the correct material is available, this looks way better than a black yoke  ;)

Funny thing was that it was already waiting one year here, and i forget it last eurocade  :D ;D

And back to this cabinet… because this weekend I’ve got a rather special quest: heading to the very first Comic Con in Luxembourg, where an exceptionally intriguing guest is set to appear...  ;)
A perfect chance to mix restoration adventures with a collector’s pilgrimage.

I walk into the expo, and wow...a full‑size TIE Fighter!  :P :spaceace:

But before enjoying myself, I have a few missions to accomplish—like having Ian McDiarmid, ‘the Emperor,’ sign the cabinets marquee, and an old photo with him. that picture, by the way, was originally a photo‑montage made nearly 20 years ago at a Disney park in Florida.

Mission one complete : the audience with Darth Sidious went perfectly, and my treasures bear his signature!  ;D

Before the official photo session, I take the time to sit in on his panel, listening closely as the Emperor shares his stories...

Satisfied with the day, and proud of the mission’s succes.  8)

I put the marquee back on the cabinet…

...with the Emperor’s blessing. :)

He placed his signature beside the Millennium Falcon… perhaps the Death Star (on the opposite side the marquee) slipped his mind?  ;D

That old photo montage of me with him, now transformed into reality, as he officially acknowledged me as his apprentice  ;D :-*

Oh yes, I’m so glad I got to meet him… he doesn’t come to Europe often. Now I need to find a good spot for my photoshoot with him.  :P

Bruno a sith lord  :o ... everybody RUUUUUN  ;D

Well done with the autogramms and I like the foto montage picture, very cool!

I always loved the acting of the emperor, he played his role extremely well.
