hey guys, i'm looking for one (or two) nintendo cocktail pushbuttons (color is not that important). two of the four buttons on my space firebird have been replaced by ugly new stuff, but of course original is the only way to go.
here's what those babies look like

i'm looking for the following: either only the button cab OR the entire button assembly OR the metal bracket that fixes the button assembly to the control panel. whatever you might have as spare parts would be just fine ...

Videogameparts has:
NOS entire assemblies:

thx, already found those, but they are quite expensive (as is all the stuff from videogameparts.com), therefore i was hoping someone might have a button assembly lying around - unused. PLUS videogameparts doesn't have the metal bracket!

You know, looking at the pic I think they may be the same as the Service Button on Taito machines, aside from the cap. I think they still are manufactured, let me see if I can dig up an old post where I had the part numbers.

Here is what I was thinking of, the Omron VAQ-4R. Does this look right, aside from the cap? I see the switch bracket on yours mentions VAQ.

I was hoping they had different types of "caps" for that model but it doesn't appear so.

the red one looks pretty close! where can you get those?
-
Looks like you can get them through Rakuten for a fairly reasonable price - sources I've seen in the US seem to start around $16USD each . Didn't see anything that looks like those button caps however :-[

never heard of rakuten before ???! anayway, since those switches are missing the button cap as well, i might be beter off to order a complete assembly from videogameparts, although 30 bucks for that seems to be pretty insane, but what can you do?

Rakuten's a site where you can buy from various Japanese shops that sell overseas. Yeah I agree videogameparts is probably your best bang-for-the-buck for nice ones. On the bright side, at least it's not a cocktail, so half as many buttons ;) :D
