I've just bought a outrun mini and the pole position is still standing in my kitchen (taking in a lot of space) and because i want to install a new floor the cockpit has to go.

Here's the deal:
The last time i turned it on for 1.5 hours the machine gave a bad smell, like there was something burning, the game (sounds, steering, break etc.) was still working though.
They replaced the monitor with a (dead) hantarex, i had a spare one laying around which worked some time but when i wanted to check the fuses (after the burning smell) the metal clip from the fuse holder broke, so now the second monitor also isn't working.

I paid the previous owner €150,- plus a j-pac and arcade vga card. I also spend €30,- on renting a truck.
If you are interested in the cockpit i'm willing to sell it for €200,- (including the second/spare monitor) or trade it for another cab.

Nobody's interested? :o

Did you contact Andreas ? He was interested before ...
-
Jep, but he already started with his pp2 restoration..
-
I am interested, but I don't know how to get it to Hamburg.

It's a bit to big for a pallet (i think) so pick up seems to be the only option..

Two pallets? ;). I'm only guessing splits in two though :spaceace:

Alpha1 came up with this tricky method for my cockpit. Each half was wrapped/protected with cardboard and strapped:

Unfortunately the Atari version comes in one piece, otherwise it would be standing in my game room right now... :-\

Actually its too bad, i mean, its a nice game in your collection...

you're right about that, but it's a bit too big for my apartment and i like outrun better..

Nope, no space here ! I must say that it was totally weird to have a PP cockpit so close and cheap "around the corner" while about a year or so I was planning go to the far South of France to pick one up.
Luckily both found a good home, and this one "stays in the family" :D

Congrats!! Awesome setup. I've seen it already and must say that it's beautiful. Looking forward for another session and a run on the PP. But be warned, I practiced!! ;D
