can someone price them for me let say how much star blade cost??
any help or advice will be appreciated
thank you
-
Hello carlo3do,
Usual prices range for a working Starblade is between 400-700$ ...and as usual in the 'arcade market' : less if you are lucky, more if you really want it at any cost! 8)
Good luck... and save that beast :)
-
Since you ask advice: I think that DarthNuno is right about the Starblade price and if it REALLY is nice and working it is a good enough game and cabinet for the max.
IMHO all the others are not worth $750.
Be sure to check the good working of the games yourself, when ai was new in this hobby I have been told that machines were playing blind and they ended up with 3 bad chips on the PCB.

yes this is it i was in need of information about a G-lock i found the cab from the outside was excellent but it wasent working it was for 500$ so i let it go
ok just a quick question will the arcade games get damage if i tried them before i move them to truck or its ok??cause i know from my old crt if i move it it will give me some weird violet and pink colors...
and yes i made up my mind iam getting them and i will upload pic for you of this this fine find :)
-
The violet and pink colors means the tube was magnetized, you will have to use a degaussing coil to remove that, or if you let the machine run for a few hours, sometimes it disappears.
You can check Etienne's video here.

Carlo,
If you decide to sell the Rampart 3P on - I am your man ;D
-
ok new update as i went to test them i found out that all the games have the screen bored removed and put inside the cabs and almost all the cabs have no back doors
i tried to connect some and tried a couple with no luck i can here noises but no screen
as i dug deeper i found
Michael Jackson's Moon-walker mint
sly-spy
pit-fighter
outrun standup cab
World Rally 2
area 51
IKARI WARRIOR III
Mechanized Attack the only one worked for me ;D
and 7 MVS CAB FAKE CHINESE
and 2 pinball
Gladiators it turn on and it lit and it keep on rumbling and shaking so i turned it off ???
Freddy A Nightmare on Elm Street it turn on and it lit ???
i end up getting them all for 12000$ as is
iam gonna need alot of help restoring them... ;)
-
So,in the end, you bought them all? Pics or it never happened :D
-
12,000$ is a lot of money.
In some parts of the world (like USA/Canada) the games you listed aren't worth more than 100-150$ each - in working condition. But machines from Japan (like the small, white candy cabs) can sell for >1000$ each here (where in Japan, they can be picked up for ~100$)
I'm not sure how difficult/rare these games are where you found them. Good luck and please post pictures.
-
12000 usa dollars ???????
-
guys you should give me some credit as iam located in Lebanon Beirut and iam trying to save them from total destruction
also as for the price can someone provide me any of the games listed above for less than 700$ shipped to my country...??? ;)
also there's non left in my country as of the war its a mire-cal that those survived this long ..
as all my country filled with Chinese cheep arcade cab mockup of the astro city cab...
and i am thinking to recreate a small ver of luna city (as its awesome) cause i already got a 120meter hall unless someone have a better idea..
the pic will come soon i promise :)
-
Wow, Beirut, that's pretty hardcore! Don't worry about the price, if you're happy with the cab's and can afford them that's the only thing that counts.. I would love to see some pictures..
-
:spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace: for saving cabs in Beirut !
Once again, location is a big influence on price...

Yes the connector is inserted correctly, just make sure it is centered properly.
-
Yes the connector is inserted correctly, just make sure it is centered properly.
The point is that it can't be centered, it's either left or right if I look at those pics....
-
Argh, my Starblade is currently unmovable...I cannot provide your dedicated pictures at the moment  But let me check in my archived pictures...
-

Well, I've never seen it available around here for sure. Is it the 1 or 2 player version ?
I'd say it's pretty rare yeah.

-
Yeah, I like the totally complete motorcycle on it ! And.....it's an Atari :)

-

-

-
:)
-
the rest is underground :)
-
Never seen a Rampart before. Interesting one !
My son would love a game like that...building fortresses and battling in mediaeval times.
Moonwalker and Outrun sure are nice. Moonwalkers rose in price a LOT after Michael's death but I'm sure they eased out now...I never played the original although I remember seeing it in the arcades...
-
Cool, will be one hell of a sight when you put them all in one room!
-
wow, 3-player rampage - how cool is that?
-
Yes the connector is inserted correctly, just make sure it is centered properly.

No it must be centred, I should know I used to own one.
-
ur sure Equites ??? if yes i will trie it in the center
a big thank you if this will work :)

The actual connector is undersized, to the point that it never reaches the ends of the socket when plugged in, thus cannot be locked in. Im not sure why Namco adopted this method. I remember it causing me some confusion too when I was restoring the cab.
However, the number of pins in the socket and number of holes in the plug connector match, just make sure you centre it and house all the pins.
Do not offset the plug connector, and label TOP should be visable like in your pic.
-
Equites thank you so much you saved my starblade :D
ok 3 small problem
1 the chair keep on rumbling like crazy out of control so i had to plug it out
2 the screen is a bit out of focus
3 and the gun is not centered i should turn it slightly to the right so i can center my shooting
and what up with these annoying flash lamp that keep on flashing is that normal?? :o
is there a way to calibrate the gun
oh and i forgot to mention all the games i got have no keys so eventually i have to drill them and change the locks
so my question is where the dip-switch located in starblade ??
i cant find it on the back
thank you in advance
-

On one of the PCB´s, that would be my guess...
-
Test/service button inside the coin door
-
i just realized after watching some videos on youtube that my starblade missing gfx from the screen :ghost:
i have no score and no damage indicator and no target sight
and no fire explosion when i kill enemies
but its fully playable
is this fixebul or should i gut it out and put a pc running starblade in mame instead??
-
Reset the pcbs in the pcb stack.
Putting mame in it is a crime IMO and you'll lose the seat vibration and strobes

+1
-
yes, don't try to mame it otherwise we will end up with a topic like this one here: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=227261
;D ;D ;D ;)
-
That's a nice thread DK1, I mean Gyruss.... :)
Mameing would really be a shame for a game like that IMHO.
-
The Chair rumbling constantly could be a sign of a problem with the PCB stack in the cage, or simply a relay fault. Do not let the chair rumble constantly or you will burn the motor out.
I would do as Alpha1 suggested, and unscrew the cage and re-seat the PCB stack, remember where everything goes!
For the screen, attempt to adjust the focus on the LOPT/Flyback on the monitor chassis. Be careful though, not easy to access these, use a plastic or ceramic adjuster/screwdriver if you can to reduce risk of possible shock.
You can unscrew the plastic cover on the controller to access the internal pots, and simply adjust it.
The lamps are only supposed to flash when you get hit.
Good luck, its an awesome game. I regret selling mine, but you need a big place for these. I think it's pretty cool that you managed to save these in Lebanon.
Equites thank you so much you saved my starblade :D

thanks guys for helping me out i really appreciate that :)
now i followed the instruction you gave me
1 the rumble chair is fixed by itself after i opened the back of the chair and rechecked the cable of the rumble motor now its working perfectly only when i get shot it will rumble ;D
2 the screen i tried to play with the calibration screw with no luck i even got a professional technician he look at it and tried to calibrated also no luck he told me that the screen is dead and he have a machine that can fixed it he want 30$ it will be like new he is coming today to fix it
3 my biggest problem is the missing gfx i did what u guys told me i removed all 4 pcb from the cage i cleaned all the connection with a spray called wd40 and i instal d them as they were still same problem i even searched for a reset button on the pcb with no luck the only reset button i found is inside the coin door and still no go >:(
now when i was opening the cage i realized that some screw are loose that mean someone before me opened this up is it possible that the last 2 bottom pcb are missed place cause i know that the 1 have all the light and the second have the harness connector
is there a manual that show me if the r installed right??
please feal free to give me any other suggestion ???
and Equites thank you for the encouraging words ;)
-
Hi,
don't use WD40!! Make sure you clean all that off right now.
-
sorry about that Alpha1 :) i just checked the can its not WD40 its CN-20 ELECTRONIC CLEANSER (DRY)
its for cleaning contacts
-
Already not a fan of any contact spray but WD-40 is killer.... luckily you used "normal" contact spray.
-

Carlo:
A very super duper big thumbs up for bringing such a good thing to your city & country! ;D
Very nice to hear something positive from Lebanon Beirut, rather than negative stuff! (referring to what is heard on the news etc.)
You are most likely setting a record for having Arcade Lifestyle for the first time ever there!
Great Job, and good luck with everything.
And keep us posted about your projects & road trips to get games! and lastly.. We know!!! It's addictive, super fun, and unfortunately... it can be expensive... darn darn darn darn! ;)
-
Agree 100%
Colors sound good !
