He's Danish. Maybe hoer is about the same word in Dansk ?
I prefer cinnamon in a real good old Kaneelstok. I think its a typical Dutch treat that I immediatly associate with fun fairs.
I think I eat one every 5 years or so....but they are gooooooooooood...actually a memer here witnessed me buying one the day after Eurocade ;)
-
I am sure its a typical dutch treat.
the original "Kaneelstok" (Cinnamonstick) is made by Rens Joosen, who was a customer of my former employer
I did the ICT there in Oosterhout.
Rens sold the company in 2005, but still works there as advisor AFIK
Here a little video of the production area of the one and only "oosterhoutse kaneelstok"

Was driving past Oosterhout a couple days back and had a discussion in the car if the factories of the "Jamin" candy shops were (are) there .... I seem to remember so .....

Hoer = Hore
....
When André send me the Berzerk boardset, he send it in bubblewrap + a Dutch news paper, althrough i couldent read every sentence, i understood the meaning of the article... Quite fun..

Yes, it was first in rotterdam, then they moved to oosterhout:
De Jamin-fabriek verhuisde in 1957 van Rotterdam naar Oosterhout.

And that was exactly (Jamin at the Lijnbaan) where I bought my last Kaneelstok :)
They used to have great ice cream too but seems now they only have the usual brand stuff.
Still good to see they still survive......I found a nice product that even the most avid Apple hater will like:

About the Kaneelstok: you cannot translate this directly to cinnamon stick. A cinnamon stick is the way cinnamon is often sold and is purely the cinnamon itself. My wife uses these when she makes " stoofpeertjes" to give them a nice extra taste.
A Kaneelstok is made of cinnamon but also sugar to sweeten it and some stuff to make it a eatable stick I guess....
The thicker the stick....the better ;)
On the Jamin site you can only order small ones in a box but the taste is the same...
