Title: N00b
Post by: fsteveb on January 27, 2012, 08:58:26 PM
Thanks for approving me.

I’m a 50 yo software developer. Live in Florida and used to play Berzerk for hours.

I don’t know why I liked it so much. I was never into many of the other games much.

I have often thought of getting a Berzerk arcade box, but I have neither found one for sale, nor think I could afford it. I was searching for some images of arcade games for a phone app I am working on and found this forum. The road trips across Belgium are great.

Glad to be a part of this community.

I'm sorry, I'm all out of Berzerks a.t.m.....

Berzerk is one of my top favorites, something I didn't really expect when I got one (of those three). I never had seen or played it on the arcade version, I only knew it from the (excellent) Atari 8-bit home computer version. I thought it was a nice game, but as (almost) always, playing the arcade version on a real machine just adds so much....

I'm sure you can find one in the US if you look for some time. Check out the KLOV forum...

Nevertheless: Welcome !!!

+1!
I discovered late the feeling of playing the arcade version and I got instantanly hooked during Eurocade.
I now own the machine (thanks to SuperUlly), see, arcade lifestyle IS that easy  ;D
Welcome humanoid!

On that pic, none of them were working. I think all monitors did work though right ?

They all are up and running (right ?) now in Denmark (well....gathering dust), The Netherlands and Germany.

In ten years time we should bring them back together at Eurocade 2021 and have a three-on-three head-on competition !!!! :P

I'll call the Guiness book of records, not for the scores, but I'm pretty sure it must be the largest number of running Berzerks together under one roof then ;)  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sorry for drifting off, it's all just caused by our love for this simply brilliant and brilliantly simple game !!!!
