Title: Hi to all you great fanatics here...
Post by: zapposh on August 22, 2011, 04:46:14 PM
Before posting away I thought I should at least say hi, so : hi everyone. :-)

I have been following this forum for a couple of weeks and think that this must be one of the best arcade communities out there. Many great people with amazing talent. Some of the restorations and custom builds here simply blew me away. So thanks for the inspiration.

That being said, I don't own a cab yet, apart from some nice pcb's, but I'm hunting around...and the future gameroom is being painted at the moment, even though I'm getting worried about the choice of colours.  :?

So, greetings from Luxembourg.

Thanks.

Not many so far, was more into collecting Atari 2600 stuff.

Ghosts n' Goblins
Ghouls & Ghosts
Rush n' Attack
Hyper Sports

Thats all for now. Would like to house the two Ghosts games in the same cabinet.

I think I still have somewhere some GnG stuff like control panel overlay and the side arts...

Side arts would be great. I have the CPO. What I need is the control panel itself if you have one?
Or plans of one to rebuild it? (my father in law is a "metalworker")

Do you finish restoring yours? I would love to see it one day.

welcome to the board, zapposh (whatever your real name is)!

finally a fellow countryman here! "fellow countryman? what the heck is the GERMAN ully talking about?", you might be wondering. well, what you guys didn't know up to now is that my father is from luxembourg and therefore i am not only half luxembourger, but i also have a dual citizenship (back in the days when this was still possible) / dual passports. 8)

not that this has been of any use to me up to now, but who knows, it might come in handy in the future (when i deposit all my money on banks in luxembourg :P)!

Luxemburg.....mmmmmm.....one of the few countries in the area where we still have no visitors from for Eurocade ;) ;)

Anyway, welcome on board !!!

Thanks guys :-)

In fact I saw the Eurocade advert banners some time ago, and thought "great, I'll go!" . Then I saw that it was "for the big boys" who bring along some of their lovely treasures, and that it's not really for guys with an atari 2600 pacman in his pocket. Oh well... :-)
But I'll surely come to the next one if I can get a machine or two up and running. And I hope that is soon...

Superully, dual nationality is ok again. All you need to know to get around in Luxembourg is: "Een Mini wann ech glift, an eng Mettwurscht mat Moschtert!"

I mean ully is not missing much with luxembourgish.

Don't worry about Eurocade. I'll bring along a little cab next time.

Ohh, man....well....that's not _entirely_ the whole story. Yes the initial goal is that collectors from all over Europe would bring cabs, BUT (as mentioned on the site) everyone who is interested in this hobby and may not have room for a cab (or just haven't come around to get one yet) is just as much welcome !

The only real obligation is registering through a forum that I frequently visit. We didn't want general public to walk in because we simply cannot handle that organization wise, but also because we're not allowed to at the clubhouse.

Anyway, you're still welcome if you want !

Welcome here!!!!
Soon your house wil be filled with cabs, believe me.
Actually the unwritten rule @ Eurocade is that people who don't bring a cab just have to bring a specialty dish from their country.  ;)
