Hi fellas
bear with me i don't know how to get a good photo of what i need so i'll try and describe it.
i need a crimp terminal or similar which will attach physically to a material on one side of the crimp then to a wire as normal at the other end of the crimp.
i want it to have little spikes maybe that will bite through the material to attach to, when squeezed with a pliers or something. it is to attach to electroluminescent tape if that helps at all.
i don't know what terms to search for so any suggestions gratefully welcomed

do you mean something like this ???

not quite, these are very small etienne, maybe 10mm by 1mm in size.
a flat spade shaped connector with four little spikes sticking up from the spade that would bite through, there are many layers to the material so i want the connector to pass through all the layers.
i'll try and take a photo that is clear.

i saw those before, i only dont know what they are called..
I remember from the time that i did coax networks that there was something simular which was called a "vampire tap"
maybe thats helping a bit ?
-
thats certainly a good name for them, i'll try searching that ;)

hmm, i've tried 'vampire' and 'piercing crimp/spade' but no joy ???
any other suggestions fellas, i also wonder if there is a two part connector that connects through a material when you squeeze with a pliers or something. i just need a connector that will secure itself to the material really firmly.
any ideas you may have are welcome i'm really stuck on this project >:(
