There is a strange burr or growl or just we can say noise coming from my Galaxian.
It starts right away when I turn on the machine and it's there during gameplay as well.
By the way all sounds present, maybe just the "blow of the ship" missing, but I can't hear it clear from this loud noise.
Maybe the sound of the blowing of the ship stucked?
I tried to turn the potmeters, there are 2 of them, one in the pcb and one in the cabinet, they control the volume, but the strange noise still there.
Any ideas?

One more question:
Is the Midway pcb could be replaced by a Namco in Galaxians without any problem or it has a different pinout?

Galaxian produces it's sounds with a number of 555 IC's. Could well be that one is defective or gets triggered continuously.
Not sure about the PCB's.

I found a section in the manuals, maybe it fits to this problem:
"There maybe a hissing noise in the sound which is usually remedied by changing the 470 uf capacitor,C37, next to the power supply!.
