Title: For sale: AB Deluxe and G-Loc
Post by: ckong on November 14, 2010, 08:26:47 PM
Both cabs are complete and have been reported working before they were dismantled partially. The games are located in the neighbourhoud of Middelburg, The Netherlands, and the seller has to agree to collect them November 30th at the latetst (preferably in the weekend of 27 November).

The games are priced for a quick sell: € 100 for the two of them (fixed price).

Here are some pics:

well, my ultimate holy grail would be a PONG, but this one comes pretty close. i've already told erik that the AB Deluxe simply wouldn't fit into the vat i normally rent (too high), so i would have had to get a bigger van from a more expensive company. since the seller's location is not just around the corner, the rental price for the bigger van including the kilometers would be 800 euros alone - and that is without petrol. :o

as hard as it is, i simply can't affort it right now - the kilometers kill this for me! DAMN!!!

That is insanely expensive. I can rent a van with lift gate and PLENTY of space (See my SW cockpit road-trip) for about half that price here with a calculate trip of 1400 km.

Can't that AB be put on a pallet and let a shipping company transport it ?

what 800 euro's dont you have a frend whit a pickup ore get a wagon for behinde your car(dutch aanhangwagen)ore ask sombody on this forum ore i dont there must be someway to get them to you. ore just disasamble the thing completly. it isnt rocket senice to put it back to getter. and alle the good stuff is already disasembled. and if you are gone restore it whit the ully treatment you wil take it apart anyway!

yeah, i know. prices for rental vans seem to be much higher over here! regarding the palleting: this can be done for sure, but wouldn't it cost a fortune as well? PLUS: i've told the seller today i couldn't get it for the reasons mentioned, so i'm afraid he's already on the lookout for a new buyer :'(

i could rent a trailer, but i don't want to put that much pressure on my old car over such a distance! i've been having some issues with it lately and don't want to ruin for that.

about the disassembly: from what i was told, the metal frame can't be taken apart, so it's around 190 centimeters in height no matter what - and unfortunately this won't fit in the van! >:(

Ully.....did you take that 1,90 m. from the flyer ?

What I think is that the machine can REACH a maximum height of 1,90m. (when it's "bent over"), but that it is normally 1.75. Read the flyer again:

So the height should probably 1.75 when in fully down position (like on the flyer).

The pictures provided by Erik seem to show the machine in a higher (full height?) position.

Even so, 362 Kg on a trailer is not much. Most cars can pull around 1000 Kg depending on engine of course. The real issue is: How are you going to GET it on a trailer and OFF again !?!?!

Ully, i don't know from my place if you got lots of km , but this truck for a full w-e (http://www.tc-location.be/images/q_b.gif) unlimited km is quoted for 362,00e
i think it got automated door.

This need to go to ully if you ask me, one way or the other  8)

A trailer is a good option i think, or maybe someone can store it for some time ?
(too bad i dont have that kind of space, so cannot help there..)

Guys, Of course I offered the AB to Ully immediately after I had to cancel the deal (I already paid for both games) because of private reasons, under the condition that the G-loc would go for free to Bruno, because of private reasons, and Ully gladly accepted it. But there seems to be considerable transport costs involved.

So the height should probably 1.75 when in fully down position (like on the flyer).

That is correct, the AB should fit in a smaller van. Heck, this van could pull a trailer for the G-Loc.

Anyway, I agreed the to the initial seller to refund me, but because I do feel a little bit responsible that he still is stuck with both games, I offered him to put both games for sale on several forums and public auction sites.

i got those measures from a guy who owns one, but perhaps they really were from a cab in "extended" position.

The real issue is: How are you going to GET it on a trailer and OFF again !?!?!

that is the big question. perhaps i am / was a little bit naive, but i was hoping that with most of the parts removed, we could somehow lift it on with 2 or 3 additional helpers.

i really really really want that game, but a trailer for such a distance ... ? i see that it is still available on marktplaats, perhaps someone could call the seller and ask about the height and the weight issue?

You really should go with a trailer. I've done it for the G-Loc (see the roadtrip here (https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=307.0)).

Not too expensive at all to rent, but I admit you'll have to be very careful of the road with a such beast.

Do not care about the G-Loc for me, even If I would be very happy to get some spare parts  ::) :P , but at least try to catch that AB Deluxe, an incredible machine  :-*
Hope you can make it!

Get it on a pallet and have it shipped for 150E. Surely that is the best option?

Yeah I guess there are transport companies that can do this easily for a price like that.

I'm not sure about the height thing....

Here's a picture of a AB deluxe next to a pinball machine:

Also (incidentally) here's one next to a G-loc.

A G-loc deluxe is almost 1.90 at the highest point (the tale) so I do think the AB is 1.90 after all (judging on the pic they are about just as tall).

Still, a shipping company would probably the easiest and the cheapest.

that would be the easiest and cheapest option indeed. the problem will be finding a dutch company to ship this PLUS i don't know if the seller is even willing to ship it because this means a lot of additional work. i'll send him another email - that's all i can do for now!

Ully, please remember that my deal to you was for both cabs, not only the AB. The seller wants to get rid of both, before the end of the month. So it is no option to just go after the AB cab.

But actually it doesn't matter anymore, I just sold both games to a Dutch collector. He is very familiar with this forum, in fact he told me that he very recently met a Dutch forum member for a nice deal. I'm sure that he will introduce himself soon.

So, after all everything ends well. I did find a good home for both cabs, and they stay in Holland.

André, soon there will be a nice place to visit not too far from you.

I guess i've met the guy?? If it's him he has a lot of modern cabs and a lot of space to store them.

Too bad Ully, but you'll get yours eventually.
