Most of them don't actually. A friend works helping victims of child abuse and she says there's nearly as much damage from other people's flawed preconceptions about the victims than the initial trauma.

but I am pretty sure that this predator has been molested himself too when he was young.

and I think you are right that not most of them become like that, but some of them do unfortunately
