Title: Hello from a 'Vector' Fanatic
Post by: speleo_de on July 16, 2010, 06:12:06 PM
Hi All,

wanted to give a short introduction to my person, though many persons might know me already.

Living close to Munich in Germany I am really hooked to Vector games and am happy to call some of them as my own:
eg Tempest, Battlezone, Starhawk, Armor Attack from Rock-Ola ( thanks to Level42 :-) ).
The interest is in all dedicated games until 1985 and I am a BIG Atari Fan; just restoring an Atari Jet Fighter eg.
Gathered some experience in repairing PCB's from that era and am well equipped for testing/repair, but limited in time, as always.

I going to be more in a listener mode in this forum, but sure will help where I can.

Best Regards,

Welcome Andreas, you do have a great website, with  lots of useful information.

I like vector games also. At the moment I have an Asteroids, a SW cockpit and a Gravitar (which is sitting at AndrĂ©'s place for almost half a year now. Tomorrow I will have some play time on it  :) )

Tempest is a great game and very high on my wanted list, as is Black Widow. I played that game for a short time at Alpha1's place, and it rocks. Better than Robotron, which already is a great game.

Hello, this would have been a nice & appreciated hint, if I hadn't this book already. Reason is that I am collecting such old Atari repair/test documents.

AFAIK these are bad quality reprints, taken from the pdf file that is around (bad picture quality).
I might be wrong though...

From the 'highlights' of my collection there are pictures in the 'projects' section of my site : Tempest, Starhawk, StarWars, Asteroids
For the rest I am sorry guys, currently many cabs are not really in a presentable shape at this time nor is the room they are in.
Its just a large room with all cabs close together, restored & unrestored etc. Let's see where I stand next year.

Everyone is welcome to give me a short note when close to Munich, I am always happy about visitors for a chat.

Best Regards
